"Had my baby here, worse place ever. During my 4 scans they couldn't understand why my baby was getting bigger. USE your brain. Both parents diabetic and they finally diagnosed me with GDM. It was so late that I had my son at 37wks via c section. Pathetic staff printed their qualification and didn't pass their degrees."
"Took four hours for a doctor to see my daughter. I was given appointment but this doesn't work on appointment basis. People coming after got called before us. So disturbing. Please use A&E instead of using out of hour GP. This place is a mess."
"Staff were generally excellent, waiting time was better than expected (about 2 hours). However it's very unclear what's going on - where you're supposed to go etc. The Screening nurse was sitting behind a screen (with the signs pointing in a different direction) so nobody knew where they were supposed to go or who they were supposed to talk to."
"Big improvement on the old A&E but massive problem with signage. Spent at least 40 mins trying to get in the place. Needs direct access from the old hospital. We had been at Purley hospital but we're told to go to the "urgent treatment centre" at Mayday, a bit of a misnomer I would say. Just go straight to A &E it's all the same. Brand new building but as usual overloaded with patients and not enough staff. Also why no air conditioning ?"
"Receptionist typed away for 10-15 minutes while baby and I waited quietly in front of the queue - very shifty eye contact but she did see us. -didn’t have courtesy to tell us she’d be so many minutes Finally I had to interject and ask where the urgent care centre was. Answer was upstairs (I had a baby and a buggy) I got to the stairs and was unable to find ab elevator so I went through to another reception area and nobody knew where the lift was. I asked the security guard (Dwight Thompson) where the lift could be found so that I can get to my baby’s appointment. He took me to a lift which you needed access to use (no signage). He opened the door and left me to find out that the lift is not in service (no signage to say out of order). Dwight then stated he won’t be doing any lifting as helping is not part of his job which was really nice of him to say before I’d even asked how else I could get to my appointment with baby + buggy. All in all it was a mish mash of trying to find my way and I had to ask 4 members of staff before finally locating a lift which didn’t work. And of course having the pleasure of meeting this unhelpful security guard. 10/10 for the GP herself. But unfortunately 1/5 rating overall due to the above reasons"
