"We stayed in an amenity room after delivery on the NHS. Rooms are tired (light bulbs not working and towel rail broken off) and the staff are hit and miss. Some great whilst some shared worrying opinions (I.e too many women are wimping out and having c sections or epidurals). Admin is terrible - they discharged us without the red book, said they would put it in the post and never bothered which caused issues with midwives and health visitors. So you need to be on it to make sure your needs are properly handed over between shifts. It’s a lot better than the ward but management and admin needs to seriously improve for the price they charge."
