Reviews of Family Matters Enterprise
"Terrible service very rude manager , wasted 4 weeks to arrange contact , not have a clue in the world how to operate a contact centre , regulating bodies need to intervene asap Avoid at all costs"
"Just because one person has a good time after three sessions.. how about you have three years then review! Pathetic how you think three sessions can do anything to people who have used it for years! So keep yourself quiet! I was accused of racism even though it was denied by me my childs dad! Back up your lies anyway three sessions ain't nothing! It's not just toys there dead insects round the rooms if you closely look round the rooms your in. Obviously seeing your child in a safe and clean environment isn't your main concern might be why your there then! There's no heating put on to warm rooms up there freezing! Attitude in front of children isn't acceptable by most parents.. run along with your lies there nothing compared to the years people put up with.."
"Very rude staff, very bias and poor attitude, shocking unprofessional attitude. I can't believe such staff are employed in a child environment. It's a shame how they start assuming and providing their own personal opinion in a personal situation they are not involved in to understand. Would never recommend them and there are plenty other child care centres available with a decent attitude from staff. My ex chose them only because they have no waiting time and can start immediate handovers. Where as other child care centres usually have a 2 weeks waiting time and currently due to covid-19 the waiting is much longer."
"Myself and family have attended this centre around 10 times. The toys are all broken and dirty, the rooms are freezing cold. When we asked staff why the toys were broken, dirty or had no batteries in we were told “it’s the cleaners job” and that was that. One staff member came into my personal space in a very threatening manor and on a seperate occaison a different staff member asked if i needed help with my bags and when i declined she picked them up and took them anyway - trying to force me into a room she wanted me to go into when i was waiting for my child. The staff here are very threatening and volatile i would suggest Dmr contact centre."
"If I could give 0 star I would. The centre itself is located in an extremely unsavoury area with no available parking which means you have to walk your child through the area to get to the centre. The toys that are there are mostly broken or could be used but require batteries to function which are not provided by the contact centre. Most concerning though is that they are also extremely dirty, often coated in visible dirt. It is not at all a hygienic place for your children but despite us repeatedly pointing this out to staff, they made no attempt to rectify any issues and did not seem to care at all. They simply want to take your money without providing anything worth spending any money on at all. The cost of an hour is £30 and I would suggest that instead, you should be paying a basic hourly wage per hour plus an hourly rental cost of the building itself which I estimate to be no more than £11 in total. The centre’s staff are inconsistent (sometimes they follow specific rules and guidelines and sometimes they do not) and are often argumentative. The centre operates on a ‘one size fits all’ ideology with how it deals with resident and non-resident parents and are unwilling to bend or change regardless of the requirements of either the parents or the child. It is very much an outdated approach that is detrimental to the non-resident and resident parent relationship which ultimately is detrimental to the child, particularly as Children’s Services in general are gearing towards a family centred approach. This contact centre is firmly stuck in the past and makes no attempt to move with the times. Additionally, it is worth noting that they are unashamed of their clear prejudice towards the non-resident parent, if you choose to attend this contact centre please prepare yourself for this but do remember that their prejudice is not your fault and you should always hold your head high and treat them as you would any other ignorant human being - but also remember that it is not your responsibility to make them into better humans, it is their own. All in all, awful contact centre and not at all fit for purpose. Please consider the various other options in Birmingham if you are able to or at least request a visit before you attend so that you are prepared for what you are getting yourselves into."
