"No such thing as Customer service once the item is over a Year old. We had the same issue that was repaired a Month after I purchased the corner sofa and now have the same issue so it is not fit for purpose as I don’t expect a sofa to only last just over a Year I sent pictures through to Customer service and didn’t hear back after over a week so called them and the call handler didn’t want to know anything about my complaint so I asked to speak to someone in higher authority which I had a reply that the Supervisor had also said he wouldn’t speak to me either as the item was over a Year old and I could do what I wanted to take it further. Absolute disgrace please don’t purchase from Oak Furniture land if you expect it to last over a Year. Date of experience: 21 February 2023"
"The shop is good and the staff in store is so helpful and resourceful. The delivery and customer service team is not good as that we receive in store. The delivery team for me was like they have no time and the CS team failed to resolve the item keeping in mind that we are talking about something that we customer liked. "I have to say being disappointed with the service from the Watford branch is a underestimate. Absolutely disgusted by the service received specially from the store manager Eric. Me and my wife went into the store on 17th May. Spoke to a guy called Micheal, he showed us around and we picked what we liked and he ordered it for us and we paid in full. He told us it will take 16 weeks for the sofas to arrive. We was a little surprised buy the length of time and just put it down to the pandemic. Come 9th September the sofas arrived and we unpackaged it and was surprised to see the 2 seater sofa had no arms. When we called customer service they said well on the order it says arm less sofa. Much to our disappointment, Michael ordered the 2 seater as arm less when wanted the 3 and 2 seater to be the same. Michael said to us the 2 seater would be exactly the same as the 3 seater but would come in 2 parts. We are not sofa experts and trusted what he said. Customer service apologized for the error and said they can replace the 2 seater but we have to pay another £90 and would have to wait another 23 weeks for it to arrive. The fact we waited patiently for 16 weeks and then be told to wait another 23 weeks was a absolute joke. It turns out that Oak Land furniture get the sofas ordered from China. This is something we was not made aware of when we ordered the sofas on the 17th May. After hearing we have to wait 23 weeks we decided we will return everything and get a full refund. I was so disappointment that I went into the Watford store to complain and see if they would do anything to help us. I met Eric who at no point apologized for the error and kept saying you should have read the paperwork before we signed. He said people make mistakes. I said well this mistake is costing us another 23 weeks. All he said to me was he can take my order again and make sure everything is right this time round. Basically he wanted another sale to go through again as we requested a full refund. Please do not bother with your time at this branch in Watford. Eric is not a nice person, he showed no empathy towards us. We are so upset that we don't have sofas and may now have sofas till after Christmas thanks to Oakland furniture store in Watford. Tbh had we known the sofas was coming from China we would have not ordered in the first place. Customer service on the phone were great, kept apologizing for the mistake. As for the store nothing not one apologize."
