"It was such a disappointing not fireworks show I say it was more like kids fun fair, When we got their all the family members were saying we didn't pay to come to the fun fair and food stalls knows how to rip of customers by charging them extortion money. A portion of chips was £4.00 seriously and coke can expensive then 5 star restautent £3.00 Whoever organised this it was very badly done and total lie."
"We left early because it was really boring... No shows, not indian food at all... It was not a diwali celebration neither a bonfire night. It was just an expensive funfair... Not worth the money."
"I don't normally comment on things, but felt I should on this. 1) ticketing: having a 12-3pm free entry session when there is literally nothing there is stupid, then making people pay £10 if they leave and come back in. My friend and I did a couple of laps, then left because it was boring. We were hoping that there'd be more events or stalls highlighting Indian culture 2) logistics: there is zero signage for those who parked, that the entrance is round the back. Inside the park, there is an exit sign (by the skate park) security wouldn't let us leave that way. 3) food: food stalls were ridiculously expensive, and I was expecting more Indian variety (as it was Diwali celebration?!) 4) safety and the environment- lots of generators, very loud and smells of petrol/fumes. Cables everywhere- possible trip hazards."
"There was a semi crush to get out at the end of the fireworks as people tried to get out near the skatepark exit which was marked with a temporary white "EXIT" sign placed up for the event. For some reason it wasn't being allowed. A member of the public must have lifted the barrier up, as soon people were streaming out this exit. Everyone loudly complaining about the poor organisation. We had parked to the east of the park and there was no pre-warning or signs saying that public footpaths this way would be closed, meaning a much longer walk than expected to the entrance. The fireworks started 15-20 mins or so later than expected which was unfortunate as this was during the time it wasn't raining. As it was, most of the fireworks were then during the rain which, whilst unplannable, could have been avoided had the fireworks started as advertised. The timing also made it more difficult for those with young children as it was already on the cusp for a lot of them to be getting too late and this additional delay is amplified at that time of night for smaller participants."
"Hello, I live in the area and for a number of years have witnessed a ridiculous number of cars parking illegally on residential streets because they are parked on pavements and blocking driveways. Please facilitate a limited number of customers if you don't have the parking facilities. I think it's outrageous. I'm sure a lot of families hoping to attend are also disappointed by the lack of parking facilities. DO BETTER."
