"School has too many issues and is very stubborn. If you complain you regret it. If you mention a problem or complain your child's getting bullied the school does nothing, instead they think your own child needs special help, not the bully. Very unorganized. Best to stay away or stay quiet. 80% of the parents r unhappy with this school."
"My class was threatened with an hour for all of us from one person talking in the hallway AFTER THEY SAID THEY WANTED US TO BE ABLE TO TALK"
"I woke up enthusiastic to go to school i get ready then go to school as soon as i enter the school 3 masked men come up to me and brutally attack me suddenly 8 drunk teachers come running towards me and instead of helping me they join in with the 3 masked men then i escape the madness i have encountered i go around looking inside classrooms and see children fighting each others with 10 inch machetes all killing each other i hate ark victoria so much would not recommend this school big up iffy tho"
"I saw a teacher fly kick a student to africa and he never came back Also history is the best lesson in the school big up mr webster the best teacher in the whole school hes rated dont think we could get any better teachers like mr webster"
"Being a former pupil in the 90s as it were known to be Perry Beeches in Perry Barr , was a very good school . As with time areas change , schools change teaching changes . Ark Victoria was the pinnacle when established in 2015 hence why I sent my children there . Teaching was good but recently since the pandemic unfolded it was very understandable teaching would be disrupted. Disruption is an understatement the measures in place by some of the heads in the school is beyond disbelief. Teachers leave change hands every so often , supply teachers are a must there is no consistency in their methods and above all most recently a yr ago a lady named Ms Chatwin who arrived , in charge of behavioural and cultural ethos . My experience and hearing of other parents and students experience from her is quite shocking and appalling. A very judgmental character whom states has worked in many schools within B.ham . Very hypocritical and stereotypical of her pupils and anybody who comes across this woman would surely agree she is definitely not suited to be in charge of behavioural and cultural ethos! Although she mentioned she has turned the school around since starting .. I highly doubt , turned it around for the worst ! A meeting with her she belittled both parents so I dread to think how this woman conducts herself with pupils from Ark Victoria. Overall this school needs to rethink and reshuffle staff, they state support for mental health for pupils when most mental health is incurred from teachers within this school the unnecessary talk downs , false exclusions of pupils without genuine proof and sanctions for the most pety reasons it's absolutely diabolical . I as a parent am looking into this further and I am hoping my review will raise concerns about this school and certain teachers . There are amazing pupils who attend this school but for certain teachers like this Ms Chatwin and a few others Ark Victoria heads like Ms McSorley need to sit down and keep things professional with certain ' brown nose staff ' who have a lack empathy and of know known qualities of teaching skills . I definitely think the downfall of this once brilliant school is not the pupils BUT certain staff . Thank you ."
