Reviews of Brecon Hotel
"Wasn't clean , I don't smoke, found cigarette filters on the floor and paper underneath the bed."
"Father In law booked to stay but was taken ill and hospitalised so didn't check in on the date but he booked in for a week. When he got out of hospital and rang them Sarah the manager said tuff as he didn't show up we have charged him the full week and cancelled his booking leaving him on the streets. You should be ashamed of yourself Sarah. And then selling the room we had paid for to someone else you are a joke. When we asked for the money back on the day we haven't stayed as Sarah cancelled the booking she said again tuff luck read your ts and Cs. How she is incharge of anything is beyond me. AVOID THIS SO CALLED HOTEL ."
"STAY AWAY!!!! A dirty heroine needle and lighter was found in the back of the bed side cabinet in the twin room, contacted reception and no one was there, tried the owners number that was provided on booking.com and no response. So we pack our bags and go and knock on the receipt door that was looked. A lady related to the owner came we explained to her what we found and she didn’t care just said ahh ok. We have had to change hotel and this hotel will not refund our money, don’t help this hotel and hopefully they have to close for good as they don’t care about the people that stay there."
"No bar or restaurant at The Brecon Hotel Bar & restaurant.Only saw a member of staff at check in.No one around when I needed to complain or at checkout. Very convenient.Beds were hard. Quilt cover stained.Mould around the bath tiles and shower curtain was grim.Noise from loud TVs and creaking floorboards woke us up. No tea and coffee supplies.Stains on the ceiling and walls. Generally dirty, smelly, uncared for and very dated. No receipt given for my payment. Then marked as a no show on booking. Com so I couldn’t leave a review. Not as described in the listings for this accommodation. Be very careful if you book here.We were in an annex as the main building was being renovated. No building work or workmen we’re see by us.Once I made the mistake of reading the reviews (after I’d paid...) it became apparent the ‘renovations’ had been going on for at least 2 years.!!All false advertisement. Not what you’re paying for.Keep away."
"Worst hotel ever!! Take your bank details and charge you for stuff. Said I smoked in room charged money. I don't smoke. Said I broke table so charged money. I didn't break anything. Paid cash for room and tried not to give me my change back. The toilets were unclean. I think the only positive reviews this place has must be done by the people who own hotel. Do not stay here and if you really have to then don't give them your bank details."
