"I’ve been meaning to try Ali’s for the last 20 years but what attracted me, ( how popular it seemed), also put me off, as I am an impatient customer! Finally I passed by the other day and the queue didn’t seem so bad, so I waited what ended up being only about 15 minutes. The barber who was next available turned out to be Ali himself and he took great care of me and I’m delighted with the cut. All the other barbers in the shop, one of whom is Ali’s brother, looked to be doing excellent work too. If you’re around Brick Lane/Bethnal Green I thoroughly recommend you check them out."

"Pros: - Experienced barbers - Booking available. - Good customer service Cons: - Barbers can be late for booking & you could be waiting a long time if it’s an early booking. - You could be waiting a really long time if you don’t book your haircut (extra for booking). - Slightly expensive compared to other barbers."

"Really disappointed with the service of this shop. The workers are really unprofessional. I waited for 2 hours and they refused to cut my hair. I didn't want to argue with them, left the place. Just a gentle advice if you are waiting, make sure you wait inside the barber shop even if the wait is 2 hours long. I told them i'm coming back but they refused to cut my hair because apparatenly you need to wait inside the barber shop. The chubby guy that cuts next to the window comes in late has no care for customers, after telling him i waited for 2 hours he was still persistent in telling me that i need to wait in front of 6 people because i didn't wait inside the barbershop. When i told him that i told the barbers that im coming back and i frequently came back to the shop and asked them is it my turn yet, was sufficient evidence that i was waiting for my turn. Anyways total disastrous experience, never cutting there again."

"Very professional and friendly service, it can get busy at times, but the barbers are quick with the turnarounds. My advice is if you can't wait, book in advance, however booking prices are slightly more than walk in prices. Personally i don't mind paying extra to get an guaranteed time slot."

"Good hair cuts, nice customer service along with great conversations. The place is very popular in the area and sometimes there will be quite a few people waiting but as they have 5-6 barbers you might be only waiting for 5-10 minutes! I've been there twice and looks like I'll coming back for the foreseeable future. £9 for the standard hair cut. It's a great deal"
