Reviews
"Strange lumpy bit of ground; about 1½ miles around the outside, with various paths crossing the middle. Looks very well used but very little rubbish to be seen (except the full bins in the car park). Certainly good for the locals to walk their pets, and okay for a one-off stroll in the good weather. Few muddy spots, but generally the paths are well made and quite wide."
"I grew up at shire ridge and still love a nice walk around. It has been wonderful watching the changes over the years and how the whole nature reserve has matured. Love it!"
"A nice nature reserve in the heart of shire Oak. Helps with getting the steps in but it can be muddy in parts. There are a few trails you can follow although the signposting isn't great however, it's a perfect place to take the dog"
"Great Place For Dog Walking also Great for Mountain Bike Riding"
"Beautiful hidden nature walk amongst the towns. Very pretty forests and hidden ponds, incredibly atmospheric in the fog! Only downside is the amounts of litter, people need to have more respect for nature and nurturing these places not destroying them."
