"avoid avoid avoid. asked for two simple for rows with extensions. from the start I asked questions and she convinced me it would look good in the end. what I got was garna braids that looked ridiculous hair was not tight lifting in places and plaits were bumpy at the back. as it was just for one night I wasn't to upset but I refused to pay full amount. DO NOT GO TI THIS HAIRDRESSERS IF YOU ARE A FEMALE."

"This is a barber shop that caters main to Afro carribean hair, however I have seen them cut Caucasian hair before. There are two members of staff for cutting mens hair, I cannot recall how many women there are for women's hair. My barber K, gives a good clean fresh trim every time and the other fella there can also do a good job from what I have seen. The place can get really busy at times so I usually phone ahead and check the numbers. They also have a chap that does womens nails!"

"Without a doubt the most horrendous experience I have ever had in a hair studio. 1. Poor customer service- overall the lady did that did my hair was rude, unfriendly and generally lacked in communication and social skills. 2. Severe lacking in knowledge- I asked for a wash and set, the lady doing my hair had no clips to hold the rollers, hence they kept unrolling, her colleague had to tell her to get some clips from the shop so that she could then re-do the rollers tighter and with smaller sections (i'm mixed race so i have thick hair but she had no idea how to handle it). When she washed my hair I was wincing because she was incredibly rough with my hair and when got home realized she had severely scratched my scalp. 3. no care for the client- considering this whole nightmare experience took over 3 hours ( I have never had a wash and set take longer than 2) I was not offered and water, tea coffee, or a magazine. 4. OVERPRICED- when she had completed my hair after 3.5 hours (not in the way that i had asked) she told me the price would be £45....£45 for a wash and set. she told me because she used the straighteners there was an extra charge of £15, I asked when she didn't tell me this before she did it, but she said she forgot. I explained I was unhappy with my hair, the treatments and overall service and she began to shout at me. Ladies, please , please, please avoid this place, especially if your mixed race! Terrible customer service , poor communication a lack of skills and rudeness. I ended up leaving the salon in tears so I really do not want anyone else to go through that! If i had one good thing to say it was that everyone I saw who came in to get nails done was very happy...that something at least."

"I had my hair done at FK Hair studio a week ago. The lady who done my hair was very good and went the extra mile with me. It was the first time I have used the salon, so didnt know if I would like my hair, but I can honestly say that I was extremely happy with my hair. My hair was bouncy and full of life after, literally blowing in the wind and I have Afro Caribbean hair that is relaxed. I did have an old salon but as I am happy with the results and this salon is closer I will now be using this one. I saw the negative review here and am really surprised by it, as all the staff in the salon were really friendly. But I suppose you cant please everyone!! But i you are looking for great hair, that people will comment on. FK Hair studio is the place to go!!"
