"Avoid!!!! this place is you are from a mixed background/ black brown girls guys!! I have curly 3b first time visiting this place I had a colour done I was made to feel comfortable at first because what I wanted cost 200 pound during my treatment I was made to feel uncomfortable by one of the staff I can't remember her name but she has dark black hair an has recently gone under a gastric sleeve surgery for weight loss while doing my hair she complained about it being time consuming and my hair being thick she also continue to gossip about me to other members of stuff at the back of shop about how she cannot stand doing my hair type I was fully aware of what was being said as I could hear them clearly even if they thought they was being discreet after my colour treatment I was semi happy with my results after deciding my hair needed further treatment I returned to the shop after discussing my recent encounter with a worker and then decided I needed someone else to do my treatment/colour with much reassuring that a bad experience was a one off an I should not worry as I sat in the salon chair the same stylish came out touched my hair then refused to treat me / not that I wanted her service principal is she refused me then when I asked us it because of my mixed hair I was told no she has black children!! Excuse me!! Please avoid if you don't want the stylists complaining and whispering about the texture of afro hair. Also Reid's response was only given because they couldn't get my review removed and are just trying to save face."
"Worst haircut I've ever had, to the point it brought me to tears. Tried my best to be nice about it, they tried to reassure me that they could fix it, but I couldn't trust them with my hair again. Had to go to another hair saloon to get it fixed. They did give me a refund tho, but after a lot of back and forth. EDIT: After I posted my review, the manager or owner (Bobby) I believe his name is, decided to write lies about me not knowing what I wanted when I came in and trying to remain anonymous. Well, here's a picture. Also, I think it's pretty low for a man to come back with this response to a customer unhappy with their service, especially when I was crying to him on the phone and crying to the hairdresser to have another look (Btw, she was super lovely, and admitted that my hair was choppy). ALSO, regardless of wether this is what I asked for or not, you can see in the pictures that my hair is clearly messed up. Yes, it's been a long time, apologies- When he gave me my refund he asked me to "not leave a bad review on google or anything". Now reading the respond, and what "lack of understanding" you were to my situation and basically come back with a defensive reply and lies about me, rather than taking it on board and look inwards. I hope you are pleased with yourself, as you ruined my confidence for the last 7 months and the only reason I decided to write the review now is that I need to go and get a haircut at another salon. Thanks. Edit 2: Wow, very surprised that Bobby decided to write me back yet again! I am writing a review based on my experience, and the business is telling lies instead of a simple apology. I did come in, call before hand. Asked the hairdresser for a bit of layers around my face, explained a little bit, but that I trust her because she's the hairdresser in this situation. If there was anything that wasn't clear, I would trust that the hairdresser would bring it up, not start hacking into my hair. Yes, you did try and rectify and I appreciate that, but the damage was already done, and how can I put my trust in you when you say "what's wrong? Isn't that what you asked for?" when you looked at the pictures of my hair. Of course, I understand that the business needs to defend itself, but to tell lies about MY EXPERIENCE. It's disappointing. Also, I'm very happy that you have stayed open for 40 years. I do I do, and I hope you can take my experience onboard for the future. As of the sub standard - I believe the images speak for themselves."
