"This is my second time visiting City hairdressers and at both occasions I left the salon very satisfied. Their pricing is affordable compare to other London based salons. I had highlights and hair cut by Maria. She is very professional and experienced. I will definitely return. Thank you very much!"

"SECOND REPLY TO UPDATED COMMENT: As previously stated I did address that I wasn’t happy and that it was streaky in the salon. I was ignored so Maria could move on to her next customer. Please if you have CCTV review it - I have no time or reason to lie about what you have done to my hair!! This was YOUR creation and if you have a look at your other reviews another customers hair looked exactly the same as mine. You have just stated I was only supposed to be charged an extra £40 yet I was charged an extra £50? Also on the Wowcher is states only a maximum additional £30 for long hair and toner (which I never received). Due to how unprofessional this has been dealt with I will be taking this higher. No patch testing? Only accepting cash? Wonder why.. Rather than updating your comments and arguing with a customer over Facebook reviews how about be professional, own up to the mistake and fix the problem!! Absolutely disgusting service. REPLY TO OWNERS COMMENT: Absolutely shocked that the owners have denied it was them, I have added photos of me sitting in their salon chair. I also did address at the time that I wasn’t happy but Maria just ignored me and proceeded to start her next customer. I called the salon to give them the date of my visit and was told someone will call me back the next day. I received a call today.. no apology and just asked me what I want them to do about it. I stated that I wouldn’t feel comfortable coming back due to how this situation has been dealt with and she just said okay bye and put the phone down. I have been polite the whole time (I work in a salon environment myself so I’m very understanding when it comes to situations like this). I would honestly avoid at all costs, complete waste of money and now I need to pay more money to correct what has been done. I don’t recommend the balayage and cut from Wowcher. Absolute scam, on the T&C’s on Wowcher it says only a £10 surcharge for long hair and £20 for toner. I was told I need to pay £50 instead for having hair past my shoulders. A toner wasn’t even used and if it was it wasn’t left on my hair as it felt like I was just having 2 shampoo rinses, nothing was left on to set so that £20 for toner was a scam. As for the actual colour I’m so disappointed. It seemed it was just a really quick rushed job, I’m usually in the salon for 3-4 hours when getting balayage however I was out after just over an hour. Only a few foils were put on the top layer of my hair with the thinnest strips of hair, when I raised my concerns about it not being a full head of balayage Maria was just adamant and argumentative I didn’t know what I was talking about. Yes she may have years of experience but I’ve also had years of experience getting my hair done in balayage style. My hair looks like a zebra, not blended properly at all and just looks awful. Not one of my colleagues, friends or family noticed anything different with my hair other than the fact that it looks awful at the roots. So disappointed."

"Maria is a fantastic hairdresser and stylist. For my first trip, she cut my hair as I had wanted (but using her own experience as well) and it looked brilliant. This time I left it completely up to her and she’s amazed me again. Trust her level of skill and experience because she knows exactly what will suit your face shape. I have tight curly hair and my mum has straight hair but Maria can cut both seamlessly. I’ll always go back to her now. Thank you!"

"I purchased the Wowcher cut and balayage. Maria was nice to me and we had a good conversation during the appointment. I liked how my hair looked from the front in the salon, but I only saw the back very briefly. I was quite surprised how streaky my hair was when I looked properly at home. I've since had to go elsewhere to get it fixed, because I didn't want my hair to be this streaky for my sister's wedding. All other balayage that I've had have been much better blended. All in all quite disappointed. The cut was good but the balayage was not good"

"Gilberto washed blow dried and cut my hair, due to length and trim it cost a further £25 which was expected. I was very happy with the result, Thank you. I used a Groupon 'Brazillian Blow Dry' voucher here @£45. Good location, No frills salon 1 basin x3 seats. Nice view if the windows were cleaned. Could do with some interior love. Not sure if the stylists are a couple but they started to argue in front of myself and another client. Think it could have been handled better."
