"Sometimes you walk into a hairdressers and you know it's going to be a traumatising experience. Not the case here at all. Sandra made me feel welcome from the minute I contacted her. Customer service = A* I very rarely rate anything so highly but in a world where it's difficult to find an afro hairdresser who a)listens, b) responds according to your instructions and c) takes feedback when you have an issue, I feel this 5 star is well deserved by Sandra and her team. I had two services and both were executed with my input all the way. 1.I had a wig made a long time ago (somewhere else) and it was wiggy. High, stiff and dated. Francine (I think that's the young lady's name) turned this wig into a very realistic looking long bob which even had black women asking where I had it done. 2. I ordered a wig but when it was made, it didn't fit. I contacted Sandra and there were no quibbles. She told me to bring it in and she'll sort it. (I was expecting a whole back and forth, it didn't happen!) I could go on but I'm supposed to be working so all I'll leave at this: for all your wig and extension needs, look no further. Take it from someone who *always* reviews service, be it good or bad."

"Visited here a while back with my sister. My sister wanted braided extensions on her natural hair which was roughly 3-5 inches all around. With a good blow out her hair has been braided with extensions multiple times and an experienced stylist would have no issues. Upon arrival my sister sat in the (late) stylist’s chair and had her hair examined (picked and poked at). The stylist then proceeded to discuss very openly and loudly that she wouldn’t be able to achieve the style. My sister is quite anxious and shy so didn’t know how to respond therefore I went over to see what was happening. We proceeded to leave as clearly the stylist was inexperienced to do the job. This experience humiliated and embarrassed my sister. For future customers please inform the stylist if you have shorter hair to avoid the inconvenience and shame."

"Don't go here, it was the worst wax I've ever had done. It was messy and bits of wax left all over. It felt like she didn't really know what she was doing.. The salon looks nothing like the pictures, it's dirtier and more neglected. They don't have a card machine (in this day and age!), so I had to trek down the road to a cash point or use Monzo.. Not a very happy experience all in all. And contrary to what the owner says below, I could afford it, I was just reluctant to pay full prize for a poor job, when I've had it done so much better for the same price."

"I have been having my hair done here for about 8 years and I will not and have not gone anywhere else since. I’ve had many disasters with other hairdressers and never had an issue here! It’s hard to find a stylist who is professional and genuinely can deliver amazing styles and hair care for healthy hair. I recently tried texture release and I’m amazed at how quickly my hair has grown and how much healthier it is ! Highly recommend this salon for extensions, beauty and treatments! ❤️"
