"This is the first time in years I've left a hairdressers feeling happy about it! Nikita was absolutely great - friendly and kind, and evidently working really hard! As she's still training, her manager also took the time to quality check the cut and style (which was already excellent) and make sure it was perfect. C&D is utterly unpretentious - no big frills, just a lovely atmosphere, a team having fun with each other, and no judgement for split ends! Definitely recommend it highly."

"This is my second time getting my hair bleached and dyed at chaps and dames. Rachel did an amazing job both times, and I love my new purple hair! "Great experience today with Vee. She took my inspiration picture and really ran with it. My hair looks (and smells) amazing and I'm super happy with the natural looking blonde created by the balayage and the toner she selected for me. The gentle streaks of pink and purple, as I'd requested, manage to both stand out and blend in all at the same time! Vee checked I was happy throughout the process! I'm very happy. "I never write reviews but with this experience I really just need to. I got referred by my previous stylist who moved salon to Chaps & Dames. Previous track record of colouring my hair multiple times before in a different salon. Had my appointment for highlights booked about 2,5 weeks before the actual day of the appointment. The day before my appointment my stylist informed me that she was unable to do the toner after colouring as I haven’t had a patch test done. This close to the appointment, I couldn’t get it done before. Note that my appointment had been booked for about 2 weeks without getting notified. Upon arrival I got told that they were unable to do the colouring as well, as this also would require a patch test 24-48h before. Event though my stylist has coloured my hair before, multiple times, same hair colour. Waste of time and money for Uber there, because I wasn’t informed to get there beforehand. Got a slot of a new appointment a few days later, but with a busy schedule I wasn’t happy to move around my appointment I’ve already had planned for. I do understand that there is a law regarding patch tests, but as my stylist has used the same hair colouring before – I think at this point, with them making the mistake of not informing me, they should have dealt with the issue in another way. I got an appointment booked in another salon and all ended well but was extremely annoyed leaving Chaps & Dames wasting my time. Had a good laugh with the hairdresser who is the owner of the salon I went to instead and apparently the law is accurate but for UN-coloured hair."
