"Unfortunately, the only thing I can recommend Root One for is treatments. Every other service I have had done there seems to get worse every time I go only lasting a few days up to a week. I went to get a weave done recently and when I asked for it to be done a certain way, at first I was told the main stylists way was better, until the end when she finally put in the tracks I requested - a waste of time that could have been avoided. I was then rushed out the door as she had somewhere to go. For the amount I paid, for the hair not to be done to it's usual standard, for it to then not last up to a week because cornrows are now being undone and tracks too... it is just not on I am afraid. Even with the good treatments I will not be returning. I understand at times hair stylists know better but also, a customer knows how they want their hair. The two stars are only because of the treatments."

"Took my little niece here for her first set of plaits. They were very patient with her ( shes 5) and absolutely loved her hair. Also ladies in there were very friendly but very professional as well. Would be happy to take her back for a styling any time."

"The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because the young girl who actually did my hair was nice. Other than her, whose name I didn't catch, I would avoid this salon. I visited last week and was welcomed with a frosty reception from three older ladies. I was only doing cornrows which meant this would be a short visit. The salon looks nice and well equipped - my issue was one staff member who I assumed was the boss of the salon. Not only was she insulting customer's hair in her language (that I understand) when it came to pay, she didn't acknowledge me and probably made up the price of my appointment on the spot. As I said, the young girl who did my hair was friendly, once she was done, she disappeared as though she was banished. I wanted to thank her again but the boss was being abrupt, almost in a rush to get me out the salon for whatever reason. Won't be visiting here again."
