Reviews of Judges Court Hotel
"Fabulous little hotel set just off one of the main central streets in York. The building was gorgeous, well decorated in a modern yet sympathetic style, the room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower. Our room had a great feature; an original safe built into the wall. The staff were really lovely and very welcoming. Bear in mind that there are no food provisions or parking facilities, so budget that in and remember you'll have to carry bags across the city. We parked in Marygate at a cost of £15 per day, and there are so many restaurants near by! Would highly recommend!"
"We can't fault our stay here. It's truly a hidden gem in the centre of York. You genuinely wouldn't know it was there if you didn't know about this place. Everything is simple but beautiful. From the entrance to the courtyard with It's graffiti art and ceiling lighting to the entrance hall. Our room in the basement was beautiful decorated and roomy. Sadly we didn't have much of a view but it didn't take away from the feel of the room. Our bathroom was light, clean and had everything in we needed for our 2 night stay. The bed was so comfy I'd love to know what beds they use because it was one of the best nights sleep we've had in a while. It's a few minutes walk from the centre of York and all the the tourist attractions in york. Finally the staff went above and beyond while we were there. Myself and my husband are big tea drinkers and it's safe to say that the tea provided just didn't last long enough but we asked for some more to see us through the rest of our stay and they came back with handfuls of tea and milk. When we asked for a recommendation for an Italian restaurant the lady on the front desk gave us 3 restaurants to chose from showing great knowledge of the area. We had such a good few days the only downside was our stay wasn't long enough. We can't wait for our next stay here."
"Unbelievably friendly staff and a real hidden gem in York. We wanted somewhere local to stay after our wedding and we weren’t disappointed. The hotel went above and beyond accommodating our late night check in, really going out of their way to decorate the room and leave us a few lovely surprises upon our arrival. Thank you Judges Court for being the icing on the cake for our big day!"
"The location of this hotel really is perfect and is a hidden gem in the city centre of York. Our 2 nights stay in the ground floor twin room was everything we could have wished for. Clean, adequately furnished, with a modern bathroom, and comfy beds. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again without any hesitation."
"A little gem of a place, tucked away yet right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of this vibrant historical city. Helpful and welcoming staff, lovely room with beams and period trimmings, a really comfy bed, crisp sheets, fluffy towels and a great shower. Really good value for money and will definitely re-visit."
