Reviews of Crystal Beauty Centre
"Zahra, was great! She saw me 30minutes before my appointment. One of the first times the pain from the wax was tolerable, thank you for being so gentle!"
"The manicure lady took so much dead skin of my nails. My nails now are all hurting and swollen. Im using antiseptic cream and still into much pain. Don't do manicure there. I will never go to this saloon at all."
"I was given a wowcher gift voucher for this place. I rang them to book myself in. When they answered the phone they didn’t even say the name of their establishment. They just said hello. When I told them I had a wowcher gift card she cut me off before I could even finished and just said “we don’t take wowcher anymore”. There was no apology, no nothing. I explained that I had one paid and gifted to me and she said “you have to contact them to get a refund”. I told her maybe they shouldn’t be on Wowcher then and she abruptly said “we’ve told them so just contact them”. There was nothing but attitude in her voice. Disgusting tbh! A sorry would have helped. I was gifted this voucher 2 months ago! And they have just suddenly decided they don’t want to accept them anymore."
"I usually don’t write reviews but I had to write this. I have took a variety of services in this place including massage, haircut, manicure, eyebrow threading. The first dodgy thing was that I booked through Treatwell and they told me that they will cancel that and I will get a refund and they want me to pay there. I was lucky that I brought payment methods with me, because I already paid in advance I didn’t think I’d need it. The lady who cut my hair was a shorter Arabic lady with black hair, she seemed to be rushing the whole thing but at the time I thought that’s okay she probably knows what she is doing, I am a Hijabi so I had the haircut in a private room, when she finished she told me she had another client coming soon, so I felt rushed and I thought okay I’ll get dressed and check my hair later. The massage and my eyebrow threading was amazing, the other lady who was doing them was nice and good at what she was doing. I have also had a halal manicure, I am a religious person, and I do not wear nail polish unless it halal. I have went and they said they can’t find the nail polish which I thought that’s okay, they probably don’t have a lot of people asking for this. They eventually found it and did my nails but I haven’t checked the nail polish.only when I went home is when I realised that they used an ORLEY nail polish which no matter where I looked there are no halal version of them only a breathable version but that’s not the same as a halal one which I think is very misleading and disrespectful as they specially advertise HALAL manicure. After the treatments were done I went to the bathroom to check my hair and I was shocked it was nothing that I asked for. I asked for long layers and I even showed this lady a picture, I also asked for curtain bangs, and I looked like a mushroom. So I went back and nicely asked if she can fix it up because this is not what I meant, she said she will fix it up but again she seemed to rush, she cut my hair even shorter. But at that point I was embarrassed to say more. I also couldn’t see it properly because I was rushed to put my hijab back on. When I went home and washed my hair is when I saw that my hair was horrible! You could see where she cut it in a straight line, my bangs were not even, and falls on my face like a mushroom, the length of my hair is completely gone, most of the cuts on the back are not even there were pieces that were much shorter than on the other side. I decided that it’s okay I will just go to another salon and get it fixed I’m not the type to complain. But when I went to the salon, they fixed it and was telling me the things that were wrong with is the only way they could save my hair was to cut it even shorter. Honestly I am shocked, being a Hijabi and always covering your hair is hard enough, but now even at home I don’t feel pretty. My hair was down to my lower back almost to my butt but now it’s down to my shoulders. if you need a very specific haircut please don’t go this place. I’m sure the nails and other services are nice, but the haircut was horrible. Also there are NO HALAL manicure in this place. Any sister who is thinking about it brathable is not the same as halal do your research before advertising a service. I know it’s too late at this point to ask for a refund, so hence why I decided to write it and show my pictures here. (I will not be suing my own pictures but rather an example of how it looked.)"
"AVOID AT ALL COST. I've done my nails in thos salon and a week later they started to chip off. I went there and the receptionist informed me that the product might be low quality because it was open too long (seriously?). I couldn't get a refund because it was done within a week. They said they can repair only the chipped off nails with the same product they just said was low quality. I can see that the rest of them starting to chip off as well. I rather go and fix it in a place that will do it well with good quality product. STAY AWAY you will only loose your money. And the nail technician was very rough with me too. I end up having small cuts under my nails from shaping the acrylic. Ridiculous."
