The prices are always extortionate and they have no idea how to do curly hair correctly. Vitality gave me a perfect cut. If you have curly hair, come here and ask for Sergio. "I went to vitality in October and asked for Alex per all of the good reviews of her work - was told she no longer worked there, but that Koray could colour my hair. I showed him a photo of a balayage that I used to have, blonde highlights with a bit of copper highlights throw in, all blended nicely with some root showing. Koray insisted that instead we would take the highlights all the way up to the root, along with a coppery base colour. I agreed, despite being wary of highlights at the root due to the look when they grow out. I’m not a stripy highlights kind of person - I’m a balayage girl. A big issue occurred when the highlights were setting in foil and they left me in the chair way too long, losing track of time as the salon was busy as koray had about three clients at once. I remember more than once thinking, surely I’ve been here way too long, and now I SO wish I had said something, instead of sitting there politely whilst my hair bleached itself to death. Finally when someone remembered me, they checked the highlights and then seemed to rush to take the foils off asap, as though they clearly knew what had happened. I left the salon very unhappy with both the highlight stripes, all the way to the root, and the coppery color which looked way too red and wasn’t what I had wanted at all. I went back almost immediately and scheduled for a correction the next day, and they put a toner on which helped soften some of the highlights (although all of the photos are taken after the toner and you can still see the highlights and how bad they look). I give them 2 stars for at least doing the correction - but I was annoyed that koray didn’t re-do the curls when I came back for the correction, instead just doing a rough blow dry; I felt like I wasn’t a priority anymore. Anyway, fast forward to today (4 months later) and I went to a different salon with a wella colour expert who I thoroughly vetted beforehand. She is refusing to use any bleach on my hair at all because the highlights were so over processed that many of the hairs have broken off. She showed me how elastic and fragile the hair is, and said that the most she’ll do is put toner on; she cannot in good conscience put any bleach in my hair until it heals more from what was done at Vitality. I desperately miss my blonde balayage and am so disappointed that I now have to wait 3-6 months more minimum (per this colourist) before I can even think about touching bleach. Won’t be returning to Vitality, and whilst I feel bad for writing a poor review, in this case I feel it’s justified. Hopefully they can start paying a bit more attention to client wishes, and also to not forget clients whose hair is processing! They need to accept fewer clients at a time and do a better job with each."

"Fabulous salon. I have been a customer for more than 4 years. Alex is a fantastic color expert. Her advise is always helpful when it comes to different methods, techniques and final results. She is very caring about customer needs and eager to always explain what options would be best. I am an incredibly demanding client as I like to change my color and I require to know a lot before anything is done to my hair. However with Alex, my experience is always a positive one. I have never left the salon feeling disappointed. Each time I go, I leave excited about my new hair-do. It's a fab place. I make my way there all the way from Greenwich. It's worth it :)))"
