"I visited this salon last week and am still appalled by my treatment and service. Upon entry, I realised the salon was cramped for the number of clients they had. After check in, I waited for 20 minutes without being seen. Eventually, the stylist took me to have my hair washed which unfortunately felt rushed and not very thorough and at times painful, especially since she was approached by the receptionist midway through and motioned to 'hurry up' since apparently there were 'clients waiting' (there didn't actually seem to be). She then told me she wouldn't condition my hair because it was 'thin' but I believe this was due to needing to save time as I've never had this happen before. Following this, the cut was actually good overall and I was satisfied with the result. However, when about to pay, I was told they only accepted cash today (despite multiple payment methods being advertised) and so had to do a bank transfer. Whilst trying to organise this and needing to recieve confirmation of payment from the receptionist, she was instead busying herself making jokes in Arabic with her colleague, ignoring me. Moving forward, further training and a focus on professionalism would enhance customer experience. This is a shame, since its a Muslim owned/hijabi friendly salon and there are fewer options available and clientelle are taken for granted."
"It started really well - my sister got a balayage done which was really nice, but a week after it looks very warm and the orange tones are coming out. While I waiting for her and the staff were very annoyed as a client didn’t show up, we paid everything up front and then left. Couple of hours later we get a text that she didn’t charge the right price and to come in or bank transfer another £25!! Same happened to a lady who was made to pay £5 extra because they “forgot” to charge her last time. We also booked for our hair to be styled this Saturday for our sisters wedding, just for them to text me on Thursday to say they have to cancel the appointment and to reschedule. The lady on the phone was nice but I asked for the manager to give me a call because it was so hypocritical to be annoyed at a client who doesn’t show up. But cancelling appointments two days before an event is just shocking. Obviously manager didn’t give me a call - all they said was sorry do you not know anyone else? Well if we did we wouldn’t have booked with the salon. Just never again, it was even uncomfortable waiting while my sister got her hair done."
"Not my first to be served by thisnlovely salon, nor it will be my last. Good place to socialise and chat as well! I always enjoy and appreciate my time there. Love getting serviced by Feiruz. She is very professional, a really friendly and lovely person, we have a nice chat every time, I feel quite relaxed knowing that she is the one handling my hair. I have been booking my appointments only with here ever since. Watching her does the job, she honestly makes me feel that she befriends the hair on every step caring for it and for you until it gets the best end result. she does not mind the time and effort she puts in to get the job done neatly - Best hair service I experienced in the UK. "My first visit to Salon Hijab, and i loved it! Sara did my wash, cut and blow dry. She’s got an eye for detail and cut it exactly how I’d hoped for and wanted. I really appreciate keeping the length but giving it the volume it needed. She’s so friendly and lovely, although she did my hair, I got to know other staff too and everyone is just so friendly! I’m going to have any excuse to be back there. The name is exactly as it is, ladies only, hijab friendly. Would recommend anyone who wants privacy to come! "I recently discovered that SH has opened a branch in Colindale so I tried them out. I’m so pleased to say that I have now found a salon that caters for my needs, I was really impressed by the professional look as soon as I walked in. The receptionist greeted me with a welcoming smile and then the lovely Mary (who took care of everything for me) asked me if I needed to pray, which I did!. I was really impressed with the service and the comfortable and friendly environment. It was like meeting new friends in an exclusive club. I loved the cut, colour, highlights and blow dry finish that I received, which was all done taking good time and care to ensure I got exactly the colour that I wanted. I can not praise this place enough, no wonder they are so busy! I’m so glad I got in when I did. There is a separate frosted glass massage area that will be my next destination Insha’Allah. Last note, I parked in the Morrisons carpark which is directly opposite, where you can stay for upto 3 hours, but since I was getting so much done, it took a bit longer than that so you can download the YourParkingSpace app to extend the time. I’ll upload a picture I took of the location details for that as I was originally going to move my car.
