"We stayed one night. Its a very quiet house in a quiet area. There was TV with Netflix in the room, which we didn't actually use, but it's a nice touch. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, so anyone staying longer was well catered for and we were shown where the kitchen/dining room was in case we needed anything. Breakfast was all layer out for us to choose what we wanted. The house is beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It's not a hotel, it's a very comfortable Guest house and for the price of the room, it was lovely. Thank you for your hospitality."
"We needed somewhere affordable and comfortable to stay whilst attending the spring fair, not only is Haya house that but scrupulously clean and the landlady is fabulous. We arrived after 9 but she was still friendly and polite, I have a nasty cold at the moment so she very kindly made me hot lemon, ginger and honey last night and this morning. I also cannot drink cows milk so this morning at breakfast when I asked for soya she went to the shop immediately to buy some. A lovely lady, a comfortable guest house and will certainly return."
"Beautifully decorated, very quiet and comfy, staff polite and respectful. Plenty of parking on the road and free continental breakfast. Only negatives I wasn't told there may be no hot water for a shower, or there was a communal through door into my ensuite bathroom, and bedroom with no lock on my side. Would definitely stay again if these things were sorted out."
"Unfortunately, I felt very disappointed. I’ve stayed in many B+B’s and they really do vary. I felt let down when having booked a double room with breakfast, the breakfast turned out to be a selection of half-empty cereal boxes, and a basket of bread. We were told (politely) to fry our own eggs if we wanted them, and we were left to find our own way around the kitchen. The owner was extremely polite and friendly, but the biggest problem was with my own dislike for smoke and cigarettes. I appreciate many people enjoy incense sticks, but to have them burning 24/7 literally took my breath away. Also with the owner smoking in her own private room is the same as having a none urinating area in the swimming pool. The second and last morning we avoided the ‘breakfast’ and left for some fresh air as soon as we could. 10 out of 10 for friendliness and cleanliness, but NOT for the air pollution and Asda cereal."
"A last minute decision to stay near Cadbury World meant we needed accommodation nearby. A search flagged up Haya Guesthouse with some good feedback so it was duly booked. My wife and I were tired when we arrived at 10 in the evening and were greeted by a very friendly host who invited us in and showed us tot he room. The room was large, well appointed, tastefully decorated and a nice comfortable bed. No TV was in the room but we thought this was a bonus too as we weren't tempted to watch it. The bathroom / shower room was not en-suite but of a very high standard and no problem. Complimentary crisps, chocolate and water was in the room with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast the morning after was a very pleasant mix of cereals and toast with tea and juice, in what was the family kitchen. The host was very friendly at all times and we had a good chat. I would highly recommend Haya without any reservations at all. Thank you."
