"A huge THANK YOU from my wife and myself to the delivery suite and postnatal ward 4 staff who supported my wife and helped her during her labour journey at the Women's hospital. The midwives who helped and supported my wife during her labour, Jasmin and Hollie, were amazing and so very friendly; they listened attentively to my wife and helped her get the support she needed. At the postnatal ward, ward 4, staff members were amazing as well: Lily, Janade, Demi Banks and Hannah were super vigilant, fabulous and convivial. "Fantastic experience at the Birth Centre here. The staff went above and beyond to allow me to have the birth I wanted and I couldn’t thank them enough for their support during the whole process. A special mention to Jess, Kate, Claire and Sam for helping bring my little girl into the world! I’ve also used triage pre and post birth and the midwives working on this unit are so lovely! "At 27 weeks pregnant I had bleeding and was terrified. Triage reception staff were very efficient and kind. Was seen within 15mins at triage. The nurses and Dr's were amazing. I was transferred to ward 1 for observations, again nursing staff (Sophie and Becca) were so compassionate. Had lovely student nurses, HCAs and domestic staff also. My sonographer Nyarie made me laugh so much I nearly wet myself, passionate about her job and put me at ease. I feel confident I will be looked after here when I go into labour. How wonderful and lucky we are that we have this brilliant service here for free. Thank you Birmingham Women's and Children's hospital."

"I had surgery here yesterday for endometriosis, and the staff could not have been more lovely if they tried. I have had endo surgery before at another hospital and it wasn’t a great experience, so combined with some of the bad reviews this hospital has I was very nervous. However, I had nothing to be worried about! Chidi (I hope I’m spelling that right!) and one of the student nurses on Ward 8 were amazing, they made me feel comfortable throughout the day and were so friendly. The surgical team visited me before and after surgery and made sure I was comfortable with everything, and were incredibly helpful. And the staff in the recovery room were amazing, they were so calming and reassuring - I was at ease the whole time that I was in good hands with people who are passionate about their jobs. Thank you so much to all of the nurses and doctors here, they are all amazing and I could not have had a better experience! The only reason I’m rating 4 stars is because of the gynecology outpatients department. I’ve not had the best experience there with prostap appointments, with the reception being almost impossible to access by phone and sometimes quite rude to patients. Though I understand this department must be under a lot of pressure, time management with appointments / the nurses who take blood tests could be reviewed. Other than this, the hospital is amazing and I would 100% recommend it to anyone struggling with endometriosis."
