"Avoid using Acumen as much as humanly possible. We were recommended Acumen through a developer and it was the worst part of buying our new house hands down. The Nottingham team are possibly the most inept group of mortgage advisors in the UK. They regularly gave us incorrect information, made assurances they knew they could not keep and consistently disappointed us. They have incredibly poor customer service with little to no updates unless you ring them multiple times a day, staff are forever in "meetings" or "out of the office" . The staff seem to just bluff their way through a deal and hope that everything settles well. We moved to another advisor and got our mortgage approved within 8 days. Acumen wasted our time for 8 weeks making a move before Christmas impossible They are awful, do not feel like you have to use them because they are recommended. Truly truly awful. Especially avoid Ashley Dale not an ounce of knowledge and fed us nothing but lies. Shame really moving into our first home was meant to be so special and it was ruined by Acumen Mortgages!"
