"Lovely little place, had the fish n chips which was fantastic, and the missus had the pork belly which she says was the best she's ever had. Great atmosphere, extremely good value, and outstanding staff, cheers"
"We just went there after a day out with our 1 year old. The Sunday roast was absolutely incredible. We both got the pork and it was not only delicious, but enormous as well! The staff were extremely friendly, the lady who was serving us made a fuss of our son and gave him colouring pencils to keep him entertained as well. They allow dogs in there as well, which we thought was nice as nit many places do. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a relaxing meal in a warm, friendly and clean place with friendly staff and delicious food. It has a typical, country pub style decor, the chairs were comfortable and the toilets were very clean. Only thing I would say they could improve is the size of the parking spaces."
"The Green Dragon is a hidden gem , only minutes from Barnet High St on a country road . Superb quality food , great friendly , focused service . Lovely old pub atmosphere . Future visits to be planned !"
"My partner recommended this place and really bigged it up and said it was amazing. Myself and him went in on Sunday and had a roast with starters and a few drinks. The bill came to just under £100 for both of us. I have to be honest, if the bill wasn't almost £100 I probably wouldn't be as critical but for me the bill just didn't reflect the meal. Dont get me wrong everything was cooked nicely, however for me the vegetables were seasoned very well but the meat really lacked flavour, in my opinion the meat should be the stand out and it played second to the veg. Also for me the gravy was very thin and didn't really add anything other than moisture to the food. It was an OK roast but in honesty I have had a lot better for a lot less money. I really don't want this to come across as me bashing the place because the staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was great and it honestly wasn't a BAD roast. I just don't feel it warranted the price and wasnt massively far off a carvery quality which is much cheaper. Maybe its harder as so many places do amazing roasts now so you are always comparing it to other places but like I said the food was genuinely cooked nicely it was just a little underwhelming for the price in my opinion."
"After a morning swim in the lake, my boyfriend and I where dying for a hearty meal. I suggested the green dragon as never been and just googled it once or twice. Can I say that the food absolutely exceptional and I have recommended everyone in the area. It is definitely our new spot and we’ll be back soon."
