"Carvery was loverly the manager helped me out with my carvery it all tasted amazing was hot and the pub so clean. Like the tables got cleaned straight away. Brilliant."
"This was our first time visiting. Conveniently we were staying in the hotel located next door but ultimately, we actively made the choice to go to the Weaver's Whistle over choosing to eat elsewhere as we were out and about in the area. We are very, very pleased we did. There was not an item of food left on any of our plates! Portion sizes were great, quality was excellent, wait time was suitable and the atmosphere and general feel of the place was great. The staff were really friendly, polite and catered to any request or question asked. We had a really pleasant experience and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend in the future."
"We live 30 minutes away, in a town where there’s dozens of pubs/restaurants within a couple of miles, but if we want a decent meal, with great customer service, at a great price point, we make the drive here! We’ve been in parties of 9 (+ a pup), and as a couple with 2 toddlers and a puppy. Each time we have been quickly welcomed, with a smile, the menus at the table are clean!! (Which is a rare occurrence for a franchise usually) The food comes out usually within 20 minutes, which is what you’d expect for decent food. Always piping hot, and delicious! The price is great, (confused where others are eating if they think this is expensive!) the kids are always happy as there’s a brilliant cinema room in view of maybe 8 tables, there’s also a book corner, and loads of fresh water, water bowls and treats available for dogs! We always leave full and happy! We’ve got family visiting tomorrow, so we’re taking the drive and showing them this little gem we’ve found!"
"In hindsight, I wish we would have taken the hint when pulling into the car park and realising it was empty on a sunny Saturday afternoon however, we figured we would give it a shot. First of all the customer service was horrendous, I asked for a couple high chairs for our children (1 and 2 year old) while holding my 1 year old. I was pointed to their location, not once was there an offer to assist as two members of staff looked on. Cutlery wasn’t provided until it was requested after we had been served the meals, which included starters alongside mains. Secondly, considering there was only two other tables, food took forever, more than 30 minutes which I think for reheated meals and an empty restaurant (if you can call it that) is ridiculous. The food was sub par, not fit for human consumption. Hunters Chicken was like rubber and the sauce according to my wife was like sauce from a sachet, the chips looked like whatever chip pan or deep fat fryer they used hadn’t been cleaned in months, My son (whose birthday we was celebrating) even complained that his food was cold. The service picked up slightly towards the end of the meal but by then we had already decided we were never visiting again. The ice cream sundae is just two Scoops of ice cream and a wafer in a bowl! A BOWL! If you was thinking of eating here, do yourself a favour and take the hint of the empty car park and find somewhere else."
"A much more personal service than you might expect from a chain. Did a great job giving us a relaxed family Christmas get-together when they were already busy with other large parties, bringing extra plates for seconds which was a nice touch. We liked the kids book corner and TV lounge, which helped with the small kids in our group. Rectified an error in the bill quickly."
