"These guys make the night watchmen on the titanic look like an iceberg catching rockstar. If they were a private company and not handed taxpayer cash they would have gone out of business long ago. 3 days my wife as been sat at the hospital waiting for a Monday morning visit from them, only for them to say their not coming. The doctors rang them we rang them we have paper work from school, taxi driver, doctors. And still nothing, they even get their back up if you dare mention they do their jobs. Just endless calls to people who don't know what to do."
"I would say it’s a good place iv got someone called Mike and I trust him he’s very nice to talk to and try’s to find solutions I think everyone giving this place 1 star is wrong there there to try and help ye it might not work for u but they try and that’s all u can ask just be respectful"
"Terrible place to work. Admin staff are unsupportive and mentally absent from their roles. Wouldnt work there again for my own mental health. Avoid."
"Where do I start been attending this service with my daughter for 10 years in total and still no better off, Since transferring to rochdale 4 years ago its been nothing but a disaster (got an autism diagnosis thats about it) told her cuts are only superficial and attention seeking even though she told them she wanted to die. Scored triple the threshold for ptsd but doesn't meet criteria for a diagnosis . Moods swing between depressed and manic so can't have any meds, they go from violent outburst, to dangerous reckless behaviour trips to a and e or the police called to help us and what to we get in the form of help from you?? discharged as you have exhausted all the talking therapies and she's taking up a place that someone else could use, thanks for all your useless help and your brief talking therapies going over the same thing over and over again. I'm sure the advice of look in the mirror and be kind to your self will really fix things for a young adult who doesn't like herself and hasn't a clue who she even is and when she's crying from yet another night terror ill be sure to get her to give herself positive praise as that has worked so well in the past what a total waste of time!!! The only positive in this place is rachael H the receptionist *UPDATE* I rang Friday to speak to the service manager and they said she finished early and would ring me Monday, Monday comes no call so I rang back, she's unavailable but will call me back its now Tues and still no phone call."
"My daughter was initially referred to HYM in 2020. We got seen in October 2021. Her school provided enough evidence for them. In their initial letter to me, they were imperative that my daughter accompanies me on the appointment. I took her with me, the doctor just took a developmental history ( I just repeated everything that was on the referral documents). My 8 year old daughter sat there listening to all her weaknesses and how her autism affects her and those around her. Second appointment: more development history but at least I was alone and my daughter didn’t have to sit through an hour of pointing out her weaknesses. Next in December 2021, I received a letter that was not addressed to me but had all my daughter’s details on, telling me that she had been referred to mental health services. I called HYM, they called back a week later and spoke about the services they offer (including #thrive) and that she is on the waiting list for an ADOS assessment. A couple of weeks ago Jane from CAMHS called and we established that the referral to mental health services was incorrect! She apologised and has sent me a thorough letter detailing all the referrals that have been made. I was signposted to #Thrive. I tried ringing them to book on the drop ins, a couple of times they didn’t answer and when they did, an automated voice recording told me to attend one of their drop ins. I did just that, i took my daughter out of school early, got time off work, it took me 1 hour to drive to the location to find out they are fully booked. I have been given an appointment to attend another session but don’t have high hopes. I would give this service 0 stars if it would let me. A total shambolic service!"
