"We went Tuesday lunch time it was empty when we arrived but filled up quite quickly. The new landlord was very friendly and I believe his wife served the food which was very good."
"Went for a birthday party. Landlady made all the food and it was great. Homemade onion bhaji and samosa. Drinks were good. I presume the manager, dark haired lady, was friendly, helpful and very approachable."
"Enjoyed our meal last night. There were 14 of us, we pre-ordered our food and the service was spot on. We stayed for the quiz too which was a huge amount of fun. Really enjoyed our evening. Parking wasn't an issue and facilities were clean. Hosts were very friendly and efficient."
"Came here for a lunch with my husband and sister in law. They do a great steak and ale pie here, which we all had. Didn’t disappoint. Several options on the menu but you cannot go wrong with the pies. The service was great too, with a very friendly server behind the counter and kind kitchen staff. I removed one star because during our meal, there were multiple flies flying around and these were obviously a nuisance. Plenty of parking."
