"So grateful to all the staff here - I visited A&E and was seen incredibly quickly (even though I came over the Christmas period when I can imagine staffing is difficult). The receptionist, nurse and doctor were all brilliant, very kind and empathetic. A big thank you!!"
"I'm grateful for the NHS, and I appreciate that they are currently very underfunded and nurses and hospital staff are very underpaid, but a job is a job. There is no excuse when it comes to patient care, especially when you have people in agony in the waiting rooms, and patients that are extremely uncomfortable. The staff were rude and unprofessional, most were just standing around having conversations with each other (not about patients). Even asking nurses for help is difficult. They roll their eyes and act so reluctant to help with even the smallest things, such as helping to find a wheelchair. It is an understatement to say that this hospital deserves even 1 star. Of course, there are still a minority of staff that still have passion for this line of work, and still show empathy towards patients and act professionally, but I can only say that to a select few."
"This place is an utter disgrace. Went on Saturday after sustaining a sporting eye unjury, waited 5 hours with many people in front of me. No pain relief given and communication non existent. Nurse was rude and couldn’t be bothered. Left and went to Manchester Royal eye hospital where the experience was far more professional. Turned out I had bleeding in the eye ball, high pressure and corneal abrasion over a 3rd of the eye. Leaving people sat there in agony is totally unacceptable. Everyone running this place should be ashamed of themselves. I will never return"
"Amazing experience with my 15 year old son. Jester was so good with him (and me) and is a credit to the hospital. Dr Tom was kind, compassionate, thorough and professional. We are so lucky to have the NHS and these excellent professionals. Thank you for everything you do for us in challenging circumstances and an underfunded system"
"Very very busy A&E when I arrived I had a very long wait due to this (20hours) and they struggled to find a bed. Everyone was working their socks off and remaining professional despite the pressure they were under. When I was admitted on ward they lovely with me. All round brilliant staff and just to say a very big thank you"
