Reviews
"Very Nice Caffe. Door Closing. Going Up."
"The worst university café this is. The staff is dishonest and rude. I should've read the reviews before coming but I didn't, as many others agree that the staff is rude. I came to buy a £4 meal deal, which fits my budget as a student. The meal deal includes a sandwich, a drink, and a snack. However, the particular sandwich I picked up wasn't included in the meal deal, so I ended up paying £7.90, it's my fault really, but the staff was annoyed when I asked. I was gonna buy a cup of tea but I've already used up my lunch budget, so I asked the staff politely if she could fill my cup with some hot water please, she told me that their hot water machine is broken too, same as the one in library lounge. Yes the one in library lounge is broken, that's why I asked if I could get some hot water from the café, after paying for a meal as a customer. But the machine in the café isn't broken. All other customers behind me all managed to get tea that's filled with hot water. Is it that hard to be a nice, decent and considering human once for a while? The library staff is 10/10. The library café staff is 0/10."
"They sell coffee, drinks, snack, and also some bread here. If you are a muslim you can find a halal bread with chicken in it. It's a little bit expensive for students but it can save your day if you are really hungry and have no food at all."
"Nice little cafe at university of Birmingham library..If planning to get something for lunch here. Go before 12 am, or not many items will be left."
"So i accidentally left too early for my exam today which was meant to be an hour later than i thought - silly me. Instead of walking back.to my accommodation i decided i.should kill some time. Considering i had a test, the library came up as a good solution to go so i could study. At the same.time, i had skipped breakfast and i remembered the library had a cafe linked to it too so i could get food, and also get a coffee to wake me up.after a measly 1hr 30min sleep. It was a win win win. But then i thought about the exploitative prices that usually exist on campus and decided id just have to bite the bullet. The most annoying thing about the library is the revolving door. Once i was in, the second most annoying thing was the super steep prices of sandwhiches and food. However, to my suprise, cappucinos and the homemade cakes/brownies weren't too badly priced and i actually got a large cappucino and decent brownie for £3. I was well chuffed. The atmosphere was also calm, the news was good to watch and i could sit down and do some work without lots of noise and distractions. OVERALL I SAY IS QUITE NICE BUT COULD HAVE LITTLE THINGS BETTER. Also i think i failed that exam"
