"It was between really bad to OK cafe for me."
"I really cannot recommend this cafe, despite wanting to. On a positive note, the lunch boxes for children were very good. I called in here and "sad" was the overriding emotion. It was empty - of people, of warmth, of soul, and importantly of food. The counter which is all in place ready to display food, was bereft. I had two children with me, and asked for hot chocolate. I was served a piping hot, hot chocolate from a machine. My daughter asked for marshmallows. The boy behind the counter said that they do do those, but that they are more expensive. Why then did he not mention that when I asked for a hot chocolate ? The cafe is run by the council, and has all the charm of a 1950's soviet bunker. It is, however, convenient - it is on site - and they did have some food there - which meant that I did not have to make a packed lunch, and cart that from home with me."
"Relatively inexpensive cafe serving the nature centre in Birmingham. Cheap eats and very easy to spend less than a fiver a head. Also does a kids box meal. Family orientated to the point of having a small soft play are with seperate spot for toddlers. Probably best avoided at peak times when crowding becomes an issue and the inevitable feral kids make any soft play problematic."
