Café Rouge - Greenwich

"We’ve been going here since we moved to Greenwich 2 years ago. Usually I would go for breakfast as I do enjoy their eggs and most their breakfast price. I tried dinner for the first time. It was relatively empty, so I thought service was a bit too slow. But the food it is nice and prices are good. We went for 4 starters menu as dinner. For starters they were pretty good size. And with 2 drinks a dinner of £50 it is amazing for London. Overall I do like theirs eggs bennedict and their onion soup Taste very nice. Today it was the first time I paid attention to the menu that mentioned that onion soup has been at their menu since 1989 and it is from a recipe of 1880."

"This was disappointing for Cafe Rouge a place I really used to love. I absolutely can't abide a lack of cleanliness, the toilet I used was really unclean with fecal matter on the outside of the bowl. I didn't notice this till after used the toilet. It was dried on so clearly had been there a while. Furthermore, I dislike cold food. My food was stone cold in the middle. While the food was presented nicely it lacked a great deal of the quality Cafe Rouge food had years ago. It was very over priced for what it was. Service initially was very friendly and responsive. However, we waited ages to pay and we couldn't access the app to pay either. The restaurant environment is definitely in need of renovation and there needs to be more staff on Saturdays to cover the increased customer visits. I strongly recommend against coming to this Cafe Rouge if my experience is reflective of their current hygiene and food safety levels."

"Nice place in busy area. U can sit and enjoy day or pop in for quick bite. Lovely staff who will look after You. Thank You! Food is beautiful. Nice present and quality .. awsome! My meal was nice portion of cheese fallow by mussels and finish with dessert. All beautifly match with some wines..."

"This was an good place. Firstly, it was very quiet for a Sunday afternoon. And, with their loyalty card we got a significant discount. The food is pretty delicious and there was no issues there. The food came out in good time too, and the service was okay too. I’d recommend their burgers and the crème brûlée. The music wasn’t too loud, so I could hear the people with me which was good. The only criticism I’d have is that they took quite a while to tidy a table behind us that was quite dirty. It was a shame that one of their only vegan desserts wasn’t available too. The beers that were were given were two for one, which was good but this was because they were passed their “best before” date. The decor is a little tired looking, but I didn’t mind that. Overall I would probably come back here again though."

"I like our local Cafe Rouge. I have had lunch there several times and the food and service have always been good! Staff is nice and friendly. I usually order the Duck Confit which tastes great. I have recently tried the burgers and they are also very good! I will be coming back in the future!"
