Reviews of China Express London
"Ordered chicken and mushroom soup and I must say ....I have never been so disappointed in my life. Was expecting a big, wonderful smelling pot of hot soup but what I was handed was a small, maximum 400 gr container smelling like it was straight out of Chum Bucket. I guarantee you that everyone can make a better soup at home, even if you have no experience as a chef, even if you are a 3 year old you can cook a better chicken and mushroom soup. Let me tell you what is this soup made of: 50 gr of chicken breast probably from Lidl and probably expired, max. 2 chopped cup mushroom( probably found them on the edge of the road or something) and thats it. Oh and can't forget about the liquid in what all this long list of the ingredients were floating. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! I will tell you what, I would rather take a big, fat breath of a full rubbish bin in a 40° summer than to ever smell that soup ever again. Absolute disgrace to the food industry. My biggest waste of £6. For £10 at Vongs Kitchen you get a enormous portion of Beef Ho Fun which is fantastic and probably triple portion that this ...can't even name this thing soup. With that being said, NEVER EVER I AM ORDERING AGAIN HERE AND SO SHOULD YOU, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME."
"The food has no taste and is a waste of money. The prices have gone up and the staff are not friendly, actually quite rude."
"We ate here for the first time despite bad reviews (we didn’t see them) & although tasted nice my partner has been vomiting all night. I had a dodgy tummy after eating goo."
"Food is never consistent. Sometimes ok. Never great. More often than not it’s horrible. Prices have also gone up and are a lot more expensive than other Chinese take aways in the area. Do your own research. What other Chinese take away charges £4.50 for EGG FRIED RICE? It’s just egg and rice. Absolutely extortionate. Their meals in a box are also ridiculously expensive and they are not even in large containers. Charged me £8.10 for sweet and sour pork and egg fried rice in a single (SMALL) container - not the normal large round containers you get from ALL other places. This is no more than £6.5 from ANY other Chinese take-away in the area. Complete joke will NEVER go back after today. People who Rate this food have no taste buds and/or just cannot cook. Can’t believe this place has been here so long - disgrace to oriental cuisine."
"I have ordered from China Express several times, be it direct or from an Online Takeaway, and have always been pleased with the food. The staff are efficient and the food is good in portion, quality, and value. Reviews are based on opinion so I find it funny how some reviewers (despite having only contributed very little) disregard the opinion of others simply because they do not agree with them. Personally I think China Express is one of the best Chinese Takeaways in the area which is reflected by the amount of customers they have and the many years they have been in business. I would really recommend to try for yourself and make your own opinion."
