"I love this place. Great spot to have lunch in after a hike, or in my case, dessert. Very close to the railway station in the Torrs Vale gorge. Lovely to see this old mill restored for use in this way. The coffee is excellent as is the food. Good selection of gins too. And the staff are very friendly."
"Great little bar right next to the Millennium Walkway in New Mills. Excellent selection of beers, cheese, chocolate and cake in the shop next door. A real shot in the arm for New Mills!"
"After stopping by here for drinks before a dinner reservation elsewhere, we decided to come back the next day for lunch as they had a gluten free option for their burger and also a gluten free dessert! We loved the atmosphere (lovely and warm too) and my husband was impressed with the beer selection on offer. The food portion sizes are small, but a good size for a regular lunch and left room to share a dessert. Good taste to the burger and the chips were really nice. Vanilla ice cream with gluten free chocolate brownie, honeycomb and toffee sauce was great to finish it off. We don’t have a dog, or kids yet, but the place seems to cope with both very well and it all just seemed very friendly and relaxed, staff always around to help too."
"Nice location, lots to see. Probably buggered if you have a wheelchair or pram. Even a medium sized stooled thigh creates a narrow walkway, but it’s an old building I suppose. Varied selection of beers and ciders, which is refreshing for the area. Food needs improvement though. Burger had a cold bun, and was two thin slices of beef patty with cheese. So basically a fancy Big Mac. Saying that a Big Mac has salad. Served with a tiny amount of chips. My calzone was child-sized, I’ve seen bigger Cornish pasties! Short on the pepperoni too. Was flavoursome though. My sons pizza was just about right for him (bigger than my calzone) but very pricy for what it was. Veg burgers were pretty, but again served with about 12 chips. For the portion sizes the prices are too high. I’m not greedy, but I am actually still a little peckish…"
