Reviews of som saa
"Thai is one of my favourite cuisines - been there many times and eaten at many good Thai restaurants - this is one of the best Thai meals I have had. The hard part with Thai is finding authentic thai that does not compromise on flavour and heat - this does not disappoint. Service also great - I was dining solo and the person serving me offered 2 half size dishes so I could have variety - brilliant. The red curry was amazing - as was the fish with lemongrass - really spicy and nice. I'll be back!"
"Overall food is quite good. I had deep-fried sea Bass, which is quite an authentic southern Thai dish, love the sour and salty sauce with prefer sea bass! And the braised pork is also okay, is a rice killer, but the pork could be fattier. And the papaya salad is also good! Only the Thai tea is watery and not authentic. Service is friendly."
"Ate dinner here last night and I cannot say enough good things about the food and the service! Honestly the staff are the kindest and nicest people I have had the pleasure of experiencing in restaurants in London! We had ordered the soup and it accidentally came out much too spicy. Absolutely couldn't eat it! It turned out that it was an accident, another table head ordered a double spicy soup and we also received the same one. Everybody was so quick to rectify the situation! We got both an iced green tea on the house to cool down our mouths (much much appreciated!), as well as the most delicious vegetable dish. Actually this was probably my favorite because of how crunchy they were and how delicious the sauce was. They re-made the soup and and the other dishes were just as delicious! The soup has a lovely gingery flavor perfect for a cold winter's night. The chicken skewers come with a side of a really yummy tangy tamarind dipping sauce. It was so good, I was pouring that thing on everything ! We also had the chicken curry which was quite tasty. Numerous staff members came by to check on us to make sure that we were okay. They kept apologizing for this spicy soup. They really went above and beyond to fix unfortunate situation. I really appreciated how kind they were and how attentive to every detail! The food was delicious, but it's this level of service that is going to bring me back to the restaurant!"
"The food is very good. I loved the curry and the seasonal vegetables. We asked in multiple occasions not to put coriander on the dishes but they did unfortunately, so not very happy about that. Drinks are amazing too. Definitely to try it. Atmosphere and the decor of the restaurants are a delight. The service can be improved. The waiter was very nice although he came too many times with bad news. There is a testing menu for 39£. We were a table of 4 and wanted 2 tasting menu but you can't do that. Everyone needs to get the tasting menu."
"Really enjoyed our experience here. Lovely staff, great food, fresh, authentic, wonderful selection of cocktails. Seriously, the cocktails…. !It’s a bit on the pricey side compared to your standard Thai, but it’s different and great for a special occasion when you’re looking for something different yet familiar. Did I also mention, the hand lotion in the bathroom smells awesome!"
