"I am not a review kind of person but I need to just let everyone know that this is the best Greek food and service you will get in London! Don’t bother with anywhere else, I’ve tried them all and ; 1. Every other Greek restaurant in North & East London has moody waiters , owners who act like they are doing YOU a favour by being there. Nissi on the other hand have the nicest, friendly and warm waitresses and owners. You always feel welcome and at home.. 2. I have eaten at EVERY Greek restaurant in London and the food at Nissi is quite simply the best …. Best Meze, best meat, best fish and 100% best Calamari !!! I am Greek myself and the one thing I really miss from the Greek Islands is the Calamari and in all my years the only Calamri in London that taste authentically Greek and comes close to Greek Island Calamari is Nissi. The flavour is perfect and it is cooked in fresh oil , not burnt oil like the rubbish you get in other Greek restaurants. 3. And FINALLY you get value for money , they don’t try to rip you off , they don’t charge you £12 for a Greek salad that is full of lettuce leaves and has two bit of feta on it … Like I said , not a review kind of person but for anyone who doesn’t know which Greek restaurant in north & east London to go to, GO TO NISSI, you will not be disappointed!!! I am proud to say that NISSI represents GREEK hospitality and GREEK food, the other places in London , not so much ( Desiree, Blue Olive , A touch of Greek, Friskardo etc ) …"

"Went on a Monday evening as part of the 'eat out to help out' scheme. Busy, but still taking practical precautions on social distancing. The food here is really exceptional, everything was better than expected - fresh and beautifully prepared. Staff attentive and efficient. We had the (huge) meze platter for 2 so we could try lots of things. Thoroughly recommend it, especially if it's your first time here, as you get a good selection, and not just the cheap things either - swordfish, crayfish and octopus are all included. Genuine 5 stars."
