"This is such a wonderful place, the homemade vegetarian curries are like no others. The bajjis and samosas with lentils are divine. The yam leaf curry is spicy, delicious and worth a try. Love everything about Majjos!"
"Love Majjo's, have been getting takeaways / eating here for the past 8 years regularly. The dishes aren't too oily, lots of flavour and a great variety of options (meat and veggie), different spice levels to suit everyone. Yes the takeaway is served cold to heat up at home but it's not a huge inconvenience, just makes you a little hungrier in anticipation ;)"
"Great tasting food (except the chicken korma, quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever been served. A salty oily broth with unseasoned/marinated boiled anaemic meat is not a curry, see photo). As many other reviews have mentioned, the portion sizes are not meeting expectations. Would be useful to have the weight on the website to avoid confusion. The small portions are about the size of my palm, something to be aware of. I would also argue meat is not their forte as when ordering veg only previously, it was a delight. And yes you do need to heat up at home which should be mentioned more clearly, but really not a problem. Samosas are great. However, put all this together and I would hesitate to recommend."
"Average quality food sold in smaller than average portions for above average prices - cold. While the idea of a canteen style take-away to bring a meal home to reheat would be worthwhile if a) the food were great and b) the price of the cold foods were value for money, this long running experiment in gouging the public with its expensive chilled takeaway seems inexplicably to continue. Honestly you'll get the same dishes at any supermarket cold take-out counter at better prices. Once was enough. Twenty quid for two dishes."
"Food is tasty but these are by far unreasonably small portions for the price. I'm sure they'd get more business if they created more value for the consumer. I'm a repeat customer but only occasionally, would consider going more frequently if portions were bigger for the steep price. Picture shows standard takeaway vs Majjo's large portion."
