"I took my hungry son to this fish and chips shop, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The fish had an unpleasant odor, indicating that the frying oil might not have been changed regularly. I sampled a few bites, but it made me feel extremely nauseous. Overall, it was a regrettable experience."

"Ripped off ! Used to have great portion sizes- 2 cod and a measly handful of chips 25 quid ! And don’t dare answer this with cost of living inflation nonsense ! It’s potato not caviar !!!! Loved this for the best Fish and Chips I’ve had in London for years ! NOT ANYMORE. Won’t be back, thanks for the memories !"

"Have been using this establishment on and off for 20 years. Went today and noticed it was being run by different people. I ordered 2 large cod and large chips. Chips were fine, the fish was disappointing. The larger of the two 'cod' was rubbery and tasted different. Upon tasting the other cod, there was a hugely noticeable difference. I'm not sure if I was given haddock by mistake, but I was left extremely disappointed having parted with just shy of £30 for my order. It'll be a long time, if ever, before I return. Extremely disappointed."

"First time we have visited this place since the recent change in management and the experience was extremely disappointing. And is the first time I have given such a low rating for a food place. We visited on a Friday evening (which is usually a busy night for many take-aways). There was plenty of staff on hand, and to place your order and make payment - they are very quick at! Thereafter, it was all largely downhill. We were told the wait would be 30mins….it turned out to be 58mins!! (A number of other customers upon exiting were complaining of similar issues). We got home and found the fish batter and scampi to be over cooked (borderline burnt). It seems this is a recurring issue given other comment reviews. The fish meat was ok as to were the chips. Prices have increased significantly since our last visit, portions of the large chips (£3.80) have decreased as too have the sizes of the fish!! All in favour of supporting local businesses however the service, standards, quality of food and speed of service, needs to significantly increase if this place is to retain local business!"
