"I believe that this is a hidden gem. ( The restaurant). We have been looking for somewhere local to enjoy a breakfast. We made a telephone call and Lewis answered and was really helpful booking us into the restaurant for breakfast and advising of local car parking we could use. When we arrived we were greeted by Lewis who showed us to our table. We ordered breakfast which was excellent in both quality and value for money. I think it would always be worth a phone call before arrival to make sure you avoid disappointment? This was a very pleasant experience for an early Saturday morning breakfast. Thank you to all involved."
"This is the second time we have stayed at the Kirkfield. Although this most recent stay did not include breakfast, last time we had breakfast and it was lovely. The first time we stayed, it was around Christmas time and there were lots of parties going on. Trying to sleep was a little difficult. This time was very quiet and we got a good night's sleep. However, the walls are quite thin and you do tend to hear what people are watching on the TV next door. The bed was comfy, the shower was good and the service was very friendly. We would stay again."

Our reason for staying wasn't a pleasant one yet she was a breath of fresh air. The rooms were lovely, I would recommend the suite and both breakfast and dinner was spot on. "Best hotel/restaurant in the area. Located perfectly next to the train station, the staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and smart. The food in the restaurant is exceptional. The hotel was fully booked recently and I therefore had to stay somewhere else, however I still came to eat dinner here! 10/10"
