"This restaurant is great for people who like fatty and spicy food, but I didn't get the meal I was expecting and it was too spicy and fatty for me. The phad Thai is really spicy and there's no mention that it's even hot in the description. Seeing as phad Thai isn't usually spicy, a warning would have been helpful. Meanwhile the gyoza, which is supposed to be fried and then steamed, has been deep fried so much that it's like a savoury biscuit. The flavours in both are nice but the meal was disappointing."
"Very good service, but the food was average, if expensive. The place was also kinda dirty, like hand prints all up the walls in the hallway to the bathroom. Reasonable vegan options. Overall a decent quick, easy vegan lunch (had street food side dishes)"
"Mediocre at best - and that’s because I’m hungry! Sat ourselves down after waiting to be sat down. We were alone and it still took a long while before we got asked what to have. Drinks came and the ice melted within minutes of pouring my drink. I had to ask for more to ice for my diluted can of coke zero. Looked underneath the can and it was expired. The attempt of being authentic is not quite there in terms of portion size. My pork belly didn’t quite hit the spot. Vegetables were very dry. Would have been nice to be asked about dietary requirements, we forgot to ask if a mean we were unsure with had dairy. It did. It just would have been nice but lesson learnt too for us. Not Wanago here again i’m afraid!"
"Very poor experience at Wanago (more like Wontgoagain). They are marketing themselves as a Pan-Asian street food eatery. The price point is nothing short of insane for the portion size of poor quality badly cooked food they is not even close to authentic. We also made the mistake of trying some cocktails from the bar and the cheapest of dirty alcohol they are using to make the various cocktails ruins and balance in the cocktails. The décor of the place and the staff are good, its just a shame that the menu for both drinks and food are so far from the mark, is a shame."
