"Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere with an open fire. This is not a standard Robinsons food pub, it has local fresh produce prepared by a good chef, with nice little extras. Staff are always polite and the best thing for us is that we can go somewhere for an excellent meal with our dog, as they welcome dogs and always ask if you want water for your dog. Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago it is our favourite place to eat out without leaving our furry friend home alone."
"Relaxed gastro pub. Had a birthday evening meal. Food good though no vegan options. There was a friendly crowd watching World Cup final."
"Quite a regular here, along with my wife. It's a hidden treasure that you usually need to be told about otherwise you wouldn't know it's there. The food is fantastic, atmosphere great, service brilliant. Can't go wrong eating here!"
"One word jumps to mind after visiting here today.... Amazing... Service was nice, the pub is cozy, I'm definitely visiting here at Christmas. Now the cherry on the cake was the food... We had the beef with Yorkshire pudding. It was perfect.... Even my 2 fussy kids enjoyed it. Family of four with drinks the bill came to £72,50 which I'd happily pay again for that kind of food. A nice touch was they give us a small soup as a free starter. Best soup I've ever had. 5* can't wait to visit again. Thanks"
"Visited today for lunch our starters were arancini balls with black pudding also leek and potato soup both amazing the soup was really delicious. The sage chicken with mash was complemented perfectly with the most delicious cabbage it's only cabbage I know but this was amazing! Dessert sticky toffee pudding also butterscotch parfait. I will definitely visit again this is not average pub food this is truly talented cooking I can't wait to come back. Service was spot on."
