Reviews of YO! Worcester
"Good points: Reasonable menu selection, food was of a high standard and tasted great. Bad points: Beer and soft drinks way over priced, £3.25 for a 330ml can of pop and £6.60 for a 500ml bottle of beer(£2.60 in Asda), I am not tight, but those prices are extortionate. This is a little chain resturant in Worcester, not a Michelin star in London! Would I visit again, yes for the food, but would drink tap water"
"My first visit back to this much loved chain since before Covid. The food was as expected but the experience was horrendous. Gone is the excitement of a busy weekend visit to a restaurant where a varied range of plates pass you, tempting you to taste them as you check out the menu to see what they are. As the plates mount up and your satisfaction is quenched more delights pass you. Instead you have an app! And your food is sent via the once full carousel to stop at your table. Such a sad event. Taken to the table by a mumbling person who could not be less interested. So, that was my last and final visit to this once exciting place. Not so much YO! Sushi as BYE! Sushi."
"Terrible sushi no ginger no wasabi, so little and looking badly. Sushi taste so bad, it was worst food which I have ever tried. It's not worth that kind of money."
"I’ve always enjoyed Yo Sushi everywhere I went but unfortunately my experience with the branch in Worcester has not been great. The staff was really friendly but the hygiene of the shop was.. appalling. The table was half-clean with some oily stain but we could deal with that by wiping it a little using the wet wipes that we brought we us. What made the experience really disappointing was the kitchen staff reused the lids that have been used without washing them. Today we saw the staff using dirty lids, directly picking them up from the dirty sink (please see the pic) and reusing them for new customers including our dishes. While I understand that it is inevitable to expect kitchen staff to reuse *already used* materials that they think are clean, the lids we saw today were from the pile of dirty dishes in the sink!! The bottom of the sink even has some thrown away food.. I don’t know if other branches do the same but it’s unfortunate that I actually witnessed this myself because our seat was directly in front of the sink. It’s such a shame that the hygiene was so bad - the food was actually quite good."
