Why drive 100 miles to get a haircut? Because it is not just a haircut. It is an experience. It is a pampering season for us gentlemen. I hope that everything works out for him and I will still make my journey back to use him. After all, no one else is good enough. “Today the lovely ladies at Dogwood made my two very tatty shitzus look absolutely beautiful. My furry babies Maisie and Teddie were handled with love and care and even I, as a neurotic dog mum was looked after. Simply wonderful groomers. To cap it all my two little chihuahuas Alfie and Bertie needed their claws cut....well, the ladies deserve a medal for looking after Bertie,,,shall we say his behaviour left a lot to be desired? but the ladies took it all in their stride and were very kind to the grumpy wee man, they did have a slight reward when Alfie’s turn came, he liked them so much he nearly fell asleep in one of the ladies arms, and I think he would have happily stayed with them forever. I’ve met lots of dog groomers over the years but these ladies are streets ahead in the care and professional manner they have with the dogs. Combined with loving gentleness and being very tolerant of neurotic owners I would not hesitate to recommend Dogwoods to anyone. Thank you all. Will see you again in November.”

“I have a chronic fear of the dentist and as such haven't been for around 7 years. I needed quite extensive treatment as when I was younger I had an accident and fell on my mouth and the work that was done at the time needed replacing. I was treated by Sherry Mowla and she was fantastic from start to finish. She calmed my nerves instantly and made me feel at ease right away. In total I was in the chair for around 5 hours (the thought of which horrified me) but actually it was absolutely fine. Not only did she make me feel at ease but she also did some fantastic cosmetic work on my teeth and now I can't stop smiling at everyone! “I moved to the Mermaid practice a couple of years ago after a recommendation, and have been extremely happy with the treatment to date. I’m 65 and so have experienced quite a few dental practices over the years, I can honestly say that Mermaid is the best I have come across … by a long way. Mr Abrishami has the very latest and best equipment and, together with his whole team at Mermaid, gives a highly skilled and professional service. He always takes as much time as is needed to talk through the options and to make sure I’m completely comfortable with what is being proposed. I recently completed a fairly long procedure, an implant that required a bone graft. I was naturally nervous but, from start to finish, I was given explanations and reassurance. Each step of the treatment (from my perspective) was done with absolute skill and professionalism. The dental nurse at each stage was Amber, she was professional, competent and caring, and despite normally being a nervous patient, I never felt concerned throughout the whole process. The procedure is now complete, my new tooth is in place, and I am absolutely delighted. I am shortly moving house, two hours away from the area, but I will remain a patient with Mermaid … well worth the drive!”
