“I was referred to Dr James by my previous obgyn Dr Cattanach as I was looking for a doctor for my first pregnancy after experiencing unexplained infertility. Dr James has been an excellent source of information, support and a reassuring voice during the many anxiety inducing moments in pregnancy! It was important to me that I felt in control and well informed in a hospital setting and Dr James was fantastic in empowering me and ensuring that I felt comfortable raising any questions or issues and knew all my options. I also appreciated that he recognised how the medical model could work alongside the hypnobirthing education I had undertaken whilst also ensuring I was fully aware of risks so I could make informed decisions. This was especially important as I ended up with a slightly more complex birth experience than I had hoped for (24 hour induced labour and then emergency c-section). Dr James was also complimented by my labour midwives for having a very collaborative approach which helped make it a better Huge thanks also to Chris - absolutely wonderful receptionist who always greeted me with such warmth & ensured that any queries were relayed to Dr James promptly.
