Many clients are unable to travel with their pets (1+ hour) or wish for more detailed information prior to making any clinical decisions. Catherines consultations provide excellent prognostic information, and she offers variety of treatment options tailored towards the pet and clients personal treatment goals (ex:inability to tablet, need for less frequent visits, patient demeanour, cost constraints). Her client handouts are extremely comprehensive and the first source of information I provide a mutual client while awaiting their personalised chemotherapy treatment plan. Dr. Chan is always accessible by email for follow up regarding ongoing cases. Her input provides a significant value. “Was having water works issues for more than 3 years before seeing Dr Elmes. He recommended undergoing a Cystoscopy which subsequently lead to urethral dilation during the operation. The procedure was thoroughly explained by Stephanie prior to surgery. Both Stephanie and Olivia made the whole process extremely easy both pre and post operation. “I spent 14 months (Jan 03-Feb04) in Ward 4 Wesley battling Stage 4 NHL Mantle Cell Myloide Lymphoma, - Bone Marrow Cancer. At my diagnosis I was told that I was so lucky to be so fit. (I was a Dairy Farmer) That I could handle the Chemo a lot better being fit. So I decided that if I was fitter I would get luckier! I used to do 4 one hour walks ( 4am, 10am, 4pm, 10 pm) a lap a minute, pushing my drip trolley around that Ward 4 corridor. Each walk amounted to 6 kilometres- 24 kilometres a day! After many many bouts of chemo and a stem cell transplant I was pronounced “”In remission “ in Feb 04. Thanks to Dr Bashford and Ward 4 staff, I am now in remission over 16 years. Walter Abrahamson”
