MKM has consistently pushed me out of my comfort zone. It is most definitely a club that does not allow you to stay safe in still waters. MKM removes the anchor and pushes you to see what lies beyond the horizon. MKM challenges you to be better, to be stronger, to be more resilient, to be more motivated. MKM has taught me a great deal and I am constantly learning, brief examples are: Prepares you with the mind-set and physical skills, injecting realism into the training delivered, trains you to act under pressure, helps you to develop control, teaches you to use your mind to train your body to automatically and instinctively respond to danger, repetition, depositing into our brains memory bank and to understand the human body i.e. vulnerable targets. Sam is a rare talent, he brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, skill set and expertise to the table. His teaching methods are unique, you always know you are being taught by an exceptional and gifted individual. Sam is a former Royal Marine, you always sense his military background which he injects into his teaching methods. And what greater honour is there, than to be taught by someone who has served our country. Ian, Simon and Ben offer so much support and are always willing to help in any way that they can. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Their kindness and support are a real reflection of MKM as a club, the warmth and generosity of its instructors. The members are wonderful, always helping each other. A real sense of unity between people. Sam has created a unique club which encompasses so much warmth and training of the highest standard. I have been a member for the past 19 months and I have watched the club go from strength to strength. It was by far the best decision I ever made to join MKM as it is exactly where I was meant to be. MKM helps you to steer that metaphorical ship away from the shore, ejecting you from your comfort zone. Everybody could benefit from this true gem of a club.”
