“I am really happy to have a shop like Meeka Wines in my local area. I have not been confident to shop at the major supermarkets due to the queues and non stock of my shopping items. The prices and customer service is really good. If they don’t have what I want in stock they will get for you the next day. We need to support our local businesses like Meeka Wines who themselves are risking their lives to support the local community.”

“My partner wanted to start vaping so we went in to find him a good starter kit; came out with a good kit which was well explained to us, 3 liquids, a battery charger and they were unbelievably nice and helpful and managed to get an old vape of ours working again! They also very kindly showed me how to change the cotton etc. Would highly recommend this place as the staff are so lovely and helpful and it has a really good atmosphere inside. Will definitely be coming again, it's well worth the 20 min walk for us!”

“Great place to go for food shopping, the staff is always very friendly, I have been at the shop and I found fresh food all the time. They also have Romanian products. And the staff's English language is lovely, we communicate very well, without any difficulties. When I asked something about a product or prices, they helped me all the time. Really really recommend this place. I would give them 10 stars. Respect to the ladies working there. Thank you and for sure I will return again and again.”

“Adhoc visit. I asked about any rules before entering used the sanitation cream. Made very welcome. Took my time to feast on all the lovely Waitrose stuff. First visit and very kind and explained closes at 11.00 pm and Fuel services 24 hours. Need to check. All very clean and all types at ground level suitable for wheel chair and swinging door. All safe under construction with roads and spacious area of a forecourt. Seating and tables elsewhere not seen. Obviously for safety purposes. Thank you.”

“Excellent service from the staff, I left my bag in the ladies, thankfully a very nice lady found it and handed it in, some of the staff took time out to look for me as they thought I might still be in the store. Thank you so much. Also, I bought the curry and some extra and it was the best I have ever tasted, it was for two but there is so much in the box. Sorry to say I do not shop here too often as a little more expensive but so very worth it, I will be back to shop.”

“Good quality produce. Can be a bit pricey to do a full weekly shop, but for bits and pieces, worth the price. Usually a Big Issue seller outside who is very polite and grateful when buying the magazine.”

“We used to be loyal Lidl (Erdington Tyburn Road) fans. We liked Aldi but College road branch was not near enough for regular visits. Then this Chester road store opened up. We have largely dropped Lidl mainly because of the poor shopping experience at Erdington store. Long queues at the checkouts because they only open a few or one at a time. The opposite is true of this Aldi.. they will often open up an extra one or two checkouts if there seems to be a queue forming. They are proactive. I don't like the non food sections as they seem less organised than (hate to say it) Lidl. BUT it is a small price to pay for a much better shopping experience. one last thing: you can read your shopping receipt! What is happening with Lidl? Blue receipt paper and poor printing to boot.. an old feller at Lidl asked me to try to read his receipt for him.. I couldn't) Good experience and prices at Aldi.”
