“We organized a family meal here at Swashbucklers. I was initially very skeptical about what I could eat as I have a shellfish allergy. There are plenty of alternatives to chose from on the menu. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, super efficient and professional. She was constantly checking whether or drinks needing topping up. All our meals came out together which is a plus, food was tasty and family loved the seafood platter. We most definitely will return again. Thank you swashbucklers for a memorable night.”

“Been here a couple of times for takeaway which never disappointed. Although their cereal prawn can be improved as it was lacking in flavour. Their pork dishes and chicken pot dish are very good. We dined in today and had the sweet and sour fish fillet and the pork tofu hot pot dish. Both was cooked very well and tasted good. Spacious and pleasant ambiance. The waitress was also quite professional and attentive. Price is slightly on higher side for chinese restaurant but it is still not bad given the quality. Will definitely be back again.”

“Where to start! A family owned business run by beautiful people. We held our mothers 60th BIRTHDAY here and from get go, we were accommodated by Eight Roses with the highest standards. The owners of this restaurant had PATIENCE OF PURE GOLD!! Despite last minute additional members to the party, the owners were still able to welcome our group with open arms. Food was devine. Choices for all age groups. We were able to connect to the restaurant bluetooth to play island music for our entertainment as we had the restaurant to ourselves. This family restaurant thoroughly deserves 5/5 star rating.”

Lots of options available, but I was really happy their Pork Katsu Don had Egg on top. Portions are good value for money.”

“My sis and I really love Japanese food and she recommended us to come here during our mini date in the city. Ambiance 5/5 – Everything was nice and clean! Due to Level 2, they distanced the tables. The inside was spacious which is why there was still ample seating despite needing to distance the tables. Food 5/5 – My sis ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and Renkon chips. Loved the Renkon chips that we ordered it twice! Crunchy and well-seasoned, great snack. The portion sizes were awesome! We were nice and full at the end. I enjoyed the Ramen broth because it was thick, rich and had a great umami flavour. Staff and Service 5/5 – The best about this experience is the staff there. They were so friendly, kind and attentive! One instance is when I came there by myself, I informed them that my sister was still on her way and I asked if I could still sit inside. They allowed me to. Second, some part of my noodles in the ramen was stuck all together and he said it was probably because it was not submerged in the water enough. He apologized and immediately offered to replace the whole bowl even though nothing else was wrong with it! Third, because I was doing some work while I was eating, I had my laptop out and it seemed there was not enough space on the table for my food. The gentleman there was nice enough to give us another table so our stuff would fit, and a couple of chairs so our stuff was not on the floor. I cannot stress enough how much we appreciated his kind gestures! Thank you very much for a wonderful experience. I hope we can visit again next time.”

“On holiday in Auckland found us at Poco Loco. We realized we'd been here before about 5 years ago, and enjoyed it then. The staff, although young, were able to recommend the sangria, which were delicious. The also recommended getting at least 5 dishes. We did, but it was one dish too much as we had an affregato for dessert. The atmosphere , service and hospitality were excellent. Highly recommend if you're near Pukekohe.”
