SAU STEM Center for K-12 Education
β OpenThe SAU STEM Center for K-12 Education, located in Magnolia, Arkansas, is a part of the College of Science and Engineering at Southern Arkansas University. The center focuses on providing support and resources for K-12 STEM teachers in the region, offering professional development workshops and assistance in classrooms and districts. With over 6000 square feet of laboratory and classroom space, the center provides access to equipment for trained teachers on a temporary basis. Collaborating with educational cooperatives, the center's staff includes Math and Science Specialists who work with teachers to meet classroom goals and incorporate hands-on activities aligned with Common Core Math Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. The center welcomes school districts and state agencies to engage in professional development and teaching activities.
