"Was very happy with a stylist at this location, but I will discontinue using cost cutters. Had an appointment/ reservation per usual, but once again, I had an issue being seen around the time of my appointment. Walked in 1 minute before the appointment, as the stylist I had an appointment with was walking a lady to her chair. I was told to wait and I'll be called when ready. I asked if she just took that lady back to get started, which she did. I wasn't able, nor willing, to wait for this ladies' cut to be completed. I was only offered "sorry's" and no explanation. Why bother using a reservation / appointment system if it's not going to be adhered to? Why take back a ladies' cut / style at the time of my appointment? Customers don't seem to matter, so I'll be happy to go elsewhere."

"Cost cutters has continued to go down hill since being bought by the current franchise a few years ago. They keep upping prices but don't provide the education to keep stylists up to date on education to reflect the higher prices. The building itself hasn't being fixed up in years, it's falling apart, the sign is raggedy, wallpaper coming off the walls, and just has an outdated look. You can't charge 2023 prices with 2000's looks and knowledge. The business has a hard time staying staffed with says a lot, good employees leave because of how businesses treat them. Among their price increases on guests they changed the employee pay scale in 2023 to effectively pay stylist and managers less so they can pocket more despite the workers doing all the work. They preach respect, responsibility and reciprocity, but those values are seriously lacking among upper management. They will lie to state governing boards to make sure you don't get paid for vacation time THEY approved because they're cheap and lack morals. If you're sick or can't make it into work for any reason they will retaliate and cut your hours to try to make you quit. Long story short, if you're a stylist looking for employment RUN. And if you're a guest who values how your stylist is treated then I wouldn't do business with any of the cost cutters in town. *In response to their response: you've only had the franchise for 3 years, you can't take credit for employees who've been their for so many years. And I'm sure they do respect the values, you as owners, and upper management do not. As to why Im posting months later, it's as I still wait for the labor board because of your lies you told them, so this seemed like a good time to warn others about the shadiness of your business. As for me, my business is thriving, thanks."
