Bel-Esprit Day School at Palm Valley Pavilions

"My son has been attending Bel-Esprit Day school for almost a year and I have nothing but nice things to say about the entire staff. He has been to other well-known daycares, but they were not a good fit. My son would come home completely drained or grumpy. At Bel Esprit my son actually enjoys school and loves all his teachers. My 4-year-old has developmental disabilities and he sometimes struggles being in a classroom setting, controlling his emotions, and has shown defiant behavior. However, the staff at Bel Esprit have shown nothing but patience and compassion and have always offered their support in any way they can. Throughout his time at the school, he’s shown tremendous improvement in his speech and social skills. He was even writing his name on his own within the first few months of attendance. Every day he comes home and shows me his worksheets and talks about all the fun he had. Ms. Ashley is terrific with the Pre-K children and has a knack as an educator for our little cherubs. The entire staff has created a fun, educational, and nurturing environment while helping them prepare for Kindergarten or to reach their next milestones. Ms. Elizabeth is an excellent director and it’s obvious she genuinely cares for all the kids that attend their school. I could not be more grateful for their kindness and willingness to work with children of all backgrounds. I will always consider them a huge blessing in our lives. They are the type of teachers your child will remember forever."

"These people are so disrespectful and they do not take care of the children there at all. My mom put my baby brother in here and they did not feed him more than once. He was always coming home saying he was hungry and then when we would open his lunch box NONE!! of his food or even snacks were even open. So we started sending him with the same things we did from the day before and again they never even opened up his food. He comes home dirty and they didn’t even clean him off, he had caked up mud ALL OVER him even on his face and in his hair. When my mom confronted her about it she STRAIGHT UP lied and and said they did open his food then she had the nerve to say “He should be able to open his own food” as if a 3 y/o can open his own food. Then they get mad when you question their care there, when you have every right too because of the way they are."

"This place is horrible. I would never recommend this daycare to anyone. The owner is very rude and nosy. Every time I went to pick up my little brother she always wants to question why I’m here to pick him up as if he’s not my little brother. His nose and and hands are always dirty. His clothes be looking like they let him just play in dirt all day and just let him nap in it. He’s always hungry when I get him comes to find out it’s because they not feeding him his lunch. They expect my three-year-old brother to open his own lunch. If he doesn’t he’ll go all day without eating. When I ask did he eat they say yes but how when his lunch box still have everything from this morning and this has happened multiple of times. So glad my mom took him out. I honestly don’t know how they still in business. They need to be shut down immediately."

"This day care is sketchy, not a place to bring your child if you want them to receive great care. The owner is questionable, she has a negative outlook on life. She told me she was happy her first husband passed because the world is a horrible place, that’s not the type of mentality a childcare worker should have. The few times I picked my brother up from this childcare center, and I do use the description loosely, his nose was disgusting. Does your staff not look at the kids faces? Do they not clean them when they are dirty? Secondly, what type of child care center requires the parents to bring lunch, that should be provided. Thirdly, when we are required to provide lunch why not feed it to them? It’s asinine to believe a 3 year old toddler can OPEN his own lunch and eat. Especially when it’s macaroni and cheese that needs to be warmed up! It’s even more asinine to tell a mother how old her son is. This place is giving care below the standards but I guess that’s to be assumed seeing as how she couldn’t even get federal funding. This place is an absolute joke. I wouldn’t leave a babydoll here to be cared for."

"This is a wonderful school as soon as you walk in and talk to the staff they’re kind, splendid, and wonderful. They do a wonderful job with surrounding the school with a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff takes wonderful care of the kids and my daughter has been going there for about 2 years now they always ask the parents to dress your kids appropriately they DO NOT make your kids dress in SUPER expensive clothes they are instead encouraged to express themselves in the things they like (example my daughter loves princess dresses they allow her to wear princess dresses with leggings of course and princess shoes and they always compliment her on how beautiful she is). They don’t force food down your kids throat if they don’t want to eat and if your kid doesn’t eat their food they try to find alternatives to try to get them to eat something. When you come to pick up your kid they communicate with you all that they ate and what they didn’t. The staff is very attentive to the kids and when the kid’s don’t listen to them, (typical kid fashion lol) they redirect them instead of getting mad at them, they found a way to get them to listen and I’ve seen this in action multiple times. I highly highly recommend this school, again my daughter has been going there for almost a 2 years now so i think I’m more than qualified to leave this review."
