This plantation has been in the same family since the early 1800s, with William Moore being the original homesteader. The farm has grown from its original 80 acres to thousands of acres over the years. The present owner, Charles Holmes, is a sixth-generation descendant of William Moore. Visitors can explore the original home site, which includes original buildings such as a log seed house, cotton gins, a carriage house, smoke house, chicken coop, and more. The property also features a plantation store, blacksmith shop, weaving house, and other structures dating back to the 1800s.
